For those going, please be very aware of the hot weather. Take precautions by beginning your hydration prep (drinking water) on Thursday. Increase your water intake so that your body can take care of itself during the hot drives. Also, may be a good idea to have cold rags in a cooler of ice with you. Put it on your neck for some cooling. And, don't forget sunscreen. As long as we're moving, it'll be bearable, just take precautions. 96 predicted for Saturday and 99 for Sunday.

Paul - Thoughts on what time we should be back in the St Louis area? Need to let our son know what time to bring Murphy home.

We will leave from the Quiktrip in Eureka, no later than 9 am on Saturday - suggesting people show up by 8:30 so we can get everything sorted out and then be on the road at 9

I am estimating returning to the QuikTrip in Eureka around 5pm on Sunday

The routes will be mostly thru the forested area of Mark Twain Nation Forest and by Google, appear to be pretty heavily forested and shaded. It will be warm but not unbearable. Eminence at 3PM on Saturday is forecasting 91 and Sunday, the Salem area is forecasting 92. Both days are supposed to be lower than 50% humidity.

It’s in the books zero mishaps, nice warm day…thanks Paul and Cindy for a well planned cruise…. Enjoyed it…. We did travel thru some “Snuffy Smith” areas… and “Hatfield and McCoy” territory …. Oh yeah….

Great drive Paul and Cindy, thanks again for leading and planning. Regardless of the areas we drove, it was a nice drive in the back. Was nice to move around in the line from back to 2nd, to 4th.... Lots of different views. Unfortunately, my photog feel asleep, so, not a lot of pics.
