Wheel well clearance

Yes, the wheel wells have been trimmed as you suggested. I did that anyway before it went to paint. Any further trimming would only expose more rubber.
I don’t think we can lift the body from where it is. Anyway, smaller tires and rims will probably be the first step.
 
My 2cents - Gracie runs 255 up front...with about 2” clearance all around wheel well...and 315 on rear...no issues (NITTO TIRES) other than wearing them out too quickly on rear! WHENS OUR NEXT CRUISE!!!!???
 
Update on on my wheel wheel crisis, lol.
Somehow I got 9” rims in my FF kit. Tony at FF said they typically run on 247 / 45 17” tires which requires 8” rims. With that said, I’ll have close to $600 in 2 new front tires, probably $400 in new wheels, shipping ?? Mounting and balancing ??? re-powder coating black $100 to 200 cha Ching cha Ching $$$.
I’m looking at widening the fender wells a bit to handle the extra meat. (I could make a joke here but I’ll keep it clean) lol.
The ride won’t be as civilized but it should handle pretty good I would think?
 
Why would you not borrow someone's 9" wheels which are standard with 245 or 255s and test fit them on your car before spending an extra $2000.
 
Factory Five wheels are 9" front and 10.5" rear. With recommended tire size of 245/45/17 front and 315/35/17 rear. Some people up the front to 255 because the 245 looks a little stretched. You have the correct wheels just too big of tire on the front. The specs for a 245/45/17 tire is a 7.5" - 9" wheel. Your 9" wheel will work. It's what everyone who has Factory Five wheels are using.
