Might head out with the 1984 20th Anniversary donor. Entry fee is $10 which, I believe, goes to the D.A.R.E. program.

It has been MANY moons since I have attended (let alone driven in) any shows, cruises, meetings, etc. etc. The remodeling of the house and restoration of my mustang have been an ongoing project for the past couple years or so. Getting the 'stang done will be a hurdle I'll be glad to finally be over. Next is getting the basement finished and hopefully getting the cobra back out. I have an electrical gremlin that I just never seem to have time to tackle, so it will remain parked for a while until the other projects are out of the way. :(
 
You know, there are several Carpenters on this forum and a couple of us are good with electrical wiring on your car.....just sayin' :D

And my father and father-in-law. They have had their tool belts on with hammer in hand waiting on the word from us to go-ahead...they've been waiting a while! The hard part is getting rid of years of accumulated stuff that's really hard to let go of. As for the cobra, I know it's in the dizzy wiring, but it only shows it's ugly head when things are nice and hot in the engine bay while on a major roadway. It's either in the car harness or dizzy harness.

So...checking back to see who might be available and interested in the Wentzville Rod Run this Friday night? I've never been to it but the weather looks to be great. Mike P.
 
I'm heading to Arkansas to visit my Dad. It's a good time, make sure to make a run down main.
 
I'm thinking about maybe meeting for dinner around 6:00pm and then going over? Looking for suggestions from anyone who has been to it before? Do you make a couple passes down main street then find a spot to hang out and watch the variety of cars pass? Or maybe meet for dinner at a good spot to hang out and make a couple passes later? :rolleyes: Mike P.
 
I'll see if I can get some more details. It's much different than the last time I went, which was when it was still an actual cruise and not just sitting parked. I will probably be working late so might not make it. :(
