Ok, so I figure the body on part will take about 2 - 4 hours. I would like to start at 10am. Once the body is on, of course I have a lot of questions about door, trunk and hood alignment. Weather LOOKs to be ok. Since this is also Scott's going away party, families are invited too, but figured the better halves wouldn't want to come until noon or so. That is up to you. So, to recap:
When: Saturday 4/4
Body on start 10am
Body on finish 12 - 1pm
Pickup lunch, (Super Smokers) have fun and say see ya down the road to one of our own - Lunch time until ?????

Please drive your cars if you can - Mark, tape off some blue stripes on that Yukon and you will fit right in. Posting over on FFCo$ra too so Rich and some others can see it. I will be ready

This Saturday. 4/4/09. Wish I could be there. I'll be sure to be stopping by as soon as I'm able later next week and say goodbye to Scott and Michelle. Good Luck guys on getting Purple Venom back together!

Tim,

Talked to Michelle tonight and she would like to come with the kids for the lunch, and she gave me the green light to come help you at 10:00 since you guys have helped us so much during my build. I wasn't sure if there were any plans with the house (showings and such) scheduled for that morning.

I plan on seeing you around 10:00. What time realistically should I tell the girls to come?

Thanks,

Scott

Say 1pm. I've changed the menu, and will need to cook, so that will give me more time.

Needing a headcount, right now I have:
Scott and family
Mike W
Rich S
David V
Mark
Paul & Cindy
Tom & Andy
Craig & son
Gary O

Will be buying food Friday, so kind of need to know. Thanks. And let me know if you will be bringing anyone else besides yourself.

My wife is on call, but if I can bring a 3 year old along, I would love to come help.

Tim, I am not going to be able to make it. Sorry I didn't respond eariler, I didn't see this thread. Good luck with the body install, don't scratch it.

Mike

Tim,

I can't commit to anything. I am going to try to make, it but don't count on me for food. If I can make it, I'll take care of myself.

Thanks,

The pressure is getting to me. So, I got my steering column sealed up, sorta, let's just say don't look to hard tomorrow, once the body is on, it won't make a difference  I messed up one of my tail light sockets, will need to go to Old Dog's to get a replacement socket. Didn't get to the body to frame seals that Gary made me, gonna be a late one I'm afraid. Good news is I think I'm ready. Headed to the store now to get cold be....uh, drinks, and some food. If anyone, besides Scott of course, can bring some chips or side items that would be great. Just try to let me know tonight, Shop N Save is open 24 hours :D Thought I would get a lot more done today, but got stuck on the tail light wiring, no reason really, just took a while. Off to get food and drink, later.

No worries....

I felt the same way the week I had you guys over at the end of February.

If it makes you feel any better about how long it takes to do things, we had professional carpet installers do our basement today. They didn't come until 11:00, I guess they figured it wouldn't take that long. Well, they just finished and left at 9:30 tonight. Glad they were paid by the job and not by the hour (at least by us).

See you at 10:00 in the morning. You might get yourself some strong coffee ;)

Well, 2:20 am, it's as ready as it's going to get. I will warn you, don't touch shiny black exposed surfaces, they may be wet :D I have a list, ran out of room, but only the obvious stuff didn't make it. We'll see how far long we get, I'm not real concerned about getting on the road tomorrow. Maybe next weekend. Finally, light at the end of the tunnel :D If you don't like Bud Light, Bud Select or Schlafly Wheat, Diet Coke, Mountain Dew, Green Tea or Water, you better bring your own. Sunny and 68 later tomo... er... today. I better see some Cobra's here. Thanks in advance.

Wish I could be the there today Tim. I'm sure everything will be great. Tell Scott I'll get his bend and flaring tool to him one way or another. Take plenty of pictures and post them so the one that miss today can feel like we were there. Congrats on a good winter build. Purple venom will live again soon.:D

Dan,

We missed you buddy! I know you wanted to be there, but I hope your family had a good gathering to remember your Dad.

A few people were taking pictures (Linda and MPTech) so hopefully there will be some posted.

Thanks everyone for coming out to help Tim and send me and my family off. The GCC logo sweaters are great! I will have to wear that to my first Ohio Cobra Club meeting. We really will miss hanging out in the garage and sharing build stories. I never got to go on a cruise but I know that would have been fun.

PV is mostly back together. I told Tim he shouldn't start it until tomorrow once the RTV Copper is fully set and cured on those sidepipes...he didn't like hearing that!

Later,

Scotty
