Wall Street Journal had a pretty good article today(Saturday) on the 2019 Genesis G70 3.3T Sport AWD. (Subtle comparison to BMW)

The R&D department at Genesis was managed by ex-BMW engineer...Albert Biermann who currently leads Genesis High-Performance Development.
Plus they hired two additional ex-BMW engineers Fayez Abdul Rahman and Thomas Schemera from BMW's M racing division.
In addition, Bugatti designer Alexander Selipanov now heads their design department.
It is no secret that Genesis has actively been trying to replicate a Korean BMW for several years with a true "Drivers Car".
It appears they are having some success.
