Forgot about that Mike, sorry, won't be going. If you don't want your car to get dirty, don't plan on going as it will get some melting snow crud on it, but I need to see how the car has changed, well a little. :D Going for a bike ride Sunday morning, so can we plan on meeting at the Mobil station in Chesterfield Valley Sunday around 1pm?

Well, if we meet in Chesterfield Valley, we can head down to Washington, or just around town. Won't be a long ride, but enough where I can see how the car's running.

Don't know. Taking a bicycle ride Sunday morning to get warmed up first. Starting at the lot near the 364 bridge around 10, ride over to maybe Creve Coeur and back. Puts me at the station around 1 - 1:30, however, if I'm by myself, I'm just riding around St. Charles county.

Hey Tim,

i'll meet up with you for the bike ride, if you need someone to pull you along, maybe do a couple laps around the lake in my draft.
8 miles to the lake and back, add about 3.5 miles for each lap around the lake. Pick your poisen.

Ha, Keith I already know who will win that race :D How long will it take for the ride there and back?

How fast can you ride?
13-15 mph is a leisurely pace 30 mins depend on the wind
18-20 mph cranking 20 mins
What type of bike will you be riding-mountain-hybrid-road

Will be riding the mountain bike from the house.
If you wish to ride slower than above I can ride the single speed or have the wife ride with ya :)
If you draft I can pull ya a couple mph faster than your probably used to and go a little farther too.

Just bought the bike about 3 weeks ago, it is a hybrid. However, I drove by the trails today and they are still ice covered, so unless a lot of melting occurs before Sunday, we won't be riding, when I say we, I mean Linda and I at least.

Keith, this bike riding thing is something new, so I'm not sure how fast I can ride or anything.

Being that your just starting out its best not to worry about speed,it just like racing on the track ,the speed will come.
Most people can ride farther than they think just starting out, you tell them its 10 miles and they think your crazy, it goes by fast just don't push yourself.Stretch before and more importantly after you ride.
More important is having the bike set up for you, pedal to seat height, seat to handlebar reach. Most don't continue riding because their uncomfortable or their knees hurt which all goes back to set up . Prepare to have a sore arse for the first few rides.
Hopefully we get some sunshine and get this stuff melted, I haven't been on hte bike in 6 weeks

No bike ride in the morning, trail is still covered in snow. Yep, this is still on Steve, right now, just me and Mark as far as I know. No one else wants to get their car dirty  I want to drive for a while then check to see if my carb is still leaking (yep, the new one, I've tightened up the bowl bolts, so far so good) Don't really have a destination in mind. See you tomorrow afternoon.

Met Mark at Mobil, then off to pickup Steve at his office. Decided Washington was the best place to go, and out Hwy T we went. Roads were completely dry.....well, except for the 1000 or so puddles along the way :D Yeah, the car got dirty, yes, I got wet once, but it was worth it. Spent a good hour in Washington talking to locals, the cars' getting their pictures took and re-fueling, at least for Mark. Steve had to go to work and Mark and I continued to play. Defiance being our next stop. Terry & Kathy's was not really hoppin' today, but there were a few there. Met a cycle nut, who of course, had a Dad that owned a real one. Talked to him for some time, and then on home we went. Snapped the following pic there, two Cobra's in the snow. 100 miles now on the new carb, ran great, no leaks and still have over 1/4 tank left :D Was a great ride tater. 67 on Friday next week, anyone want to play hooky? I'm already going to be off work, soo.......? Anyone?

Very nice picture with the snow!
I took a ride about 100 miles east of ya'll past Highland, and also ran over a gadzillion puddles too. Washed, dry and waiting for more spring like stuff.

ORLANDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO - you're back !

Yep - car got trashed today but I don't care. It will wash off.
As Tim said - washing - just another opportunity to spend some quality time with your car.:D
