For those of you that live on God's side of the river ;) I just received a letter from the assessors office that used the NADA to value my 1965 AC 428 2 door convertible based on my VIN#. They valued it at Low retail of $69,700, Average retail at $99,000 and a High Retail of $154,300. The letter said if this wasn't the value on the car, to please forward a copy of the original Bill Of Sale (which, luckily I had) showing what I paid for it so it will now be assessed based on that value (which is still substantially higher than last year). For those of you that don't have a Bill Of Sale, the letter states that you can provide:

- Bill of sale
- Pictures or estimated cost of damages (they are assuming since you want to lower the assessed value, there must be damage)
- Copy of historic registration

You can wait until 7/2 to file an appeal. I will quiz the contact that I have and see what you guys that assembled your cars can do, not sure how that will/can work out.

Yup, 65 Ford 2 door. about $28 personal property tax last year. But hey, I live in Jeff County.

I have always warned people about using anything in the car's description that relates to a C___a. Registered as a replica of a 1965 Ford convertible. $100 a year for the past 10 years which I think is fair.

So, since they now have my B.O.S., I just past the point of no return on getting mine assessed based on a '65 Ford Convertible....crap! Something to thing about builders

Or simply move to the right side of the ditch!

Good luck on getting it reduced Tim, if it's anything like our property taxes over here (land and home) you will need an act of God to get it changed.
