I really like the Ape top on the cars. Someone in the club has one on a black cobra with a 302 in it. I agree with Rick. Add a top and Ac and still be more unique than the viper.
 
Yeah, but Linda still can't reach the pedals to drive it. Taking the Viper for a test drive in the morning....wouldn't you know it, I went there today to drive it and Dave had taken it home :rolleyes: If I don't love it, if it doesn't grab me....I ain't buyin'. How'd we end up with Pantera's here? :confused:
 
We got started on Pantera's when Mike Marshall mentioned them and we just ran with it! :D There are always a lot of Vipers listed on eBay to compare with. Mike P.

Well.....that was awesome! :D Fun drive up 94 - H - back 94 to Fastlane. The car is civil, but brutal. Smooth, but dangerous.....No rattles, I can hear the radio, it rides great, handles awesome, acceleration that's downright scary and very comparable to the Cobra. So, what did I not like about it? Price and looks. On the way to the dealership, the Cobra was rattling, bumpy is all get out but running smooth as ever. I got numerous head turns and a thumbs up. The Viper, none of that. The thing is, it's not like I LIKE to be noticed, but I feel it's more a 'respect' thing than anything. The Viper, for all that it is...well, it's a factory car. Much like the Vette and Mustang. The Factory Five Roadster....that's what it is, not a Cobra....garners respect, admiration, and lots of comments. I'm taking Linda there next week to ride/drive the car and go from there. Off to my Sister's for Easter....and do some road thinking. Later.
 
Interesting comments Tim. I've only had my roadster for about a year and I don't think there is a car made that gets more attention. People are just drawn to them. I often tell people driving one of these is like hanging out with a celebrity! Happy Easter everyone!! :) Mike P.

The 85G FFr, is that the car that no one can get to run right, even the people who build the electronics can't tune?
 
Yep - that's the one. Looks like an awesome build with the painted frame and all. I'm sure the original owner put more than that into the build. Either way, it hardly matters if it runs like poo - which it does. It's a trailer queen, but somebody will appreciate it and buy it for that. It's a nice looking car.

I actually like the idea of stuffing in a modern drive train into a classic car. I think the builder started off with a decent idea, but quickly got - well - a bit out of hand. Don't most of those "resto-mod" cars get a bit crazy on the builds?

But back to Tim's current mindset - keep it - just my opinion.
 
Well, after a weekend of driving to and from my Sister's, and talking to Linda....I'm staying put. There are numerous reasons to buy that Viper, but more reasons not to. I guess, IF I could be a car collector, I would have the Cobra, Viper, Z06 and a few other cars too. That's my dream....I'm not there yet, someday maybe, but not yet. So, you're stuck with me a while longer.

I will be much more careful in putting sunscreen on and such however. So, done with this thread until my 4/29 appointment.
 
Tim, glad to hear we are stuck with you and Purple Venom for a while longer!

Had my appointment today and they 'froze' the spots on my arm and did a biopsy on the one on my face, but she thought it was a Basal Cell Carcinoma and would let me know in a week or so the test results. Removal is done via Mohs Surgery. So, not a bad visit, just more visits needed which is why I hate going. You go see one, you may as well be prepared to see 6 more. :rolleyes:

Oh, and if your late so much as a day with your co-pay, you get no treatment.
 
Don't know if you've ever had skin cancers, but burning them with liquid nitrogen A) stings and B) a day later they are huge blisters :eek: But, hopefully, they are done.
