Well, to wrap this up I really enjoyed this week and my first foray in to road 'racing'. I never felt out of my element, nor scared of the track. I did scare myself a time or two in to turn 1, but I came out ok. I will be running the full thing next year, I think I could give a few of the Novice's a run for their money

Learned alot this week about prep, other manufacturer's cars, and the line around the road course. I learned not to pi$$ off the track manager, right Mark? And I think we learned a thing or to about what we need to focus on next year. Speaking of that, since it is still fresh in our minds, Shouldn't we have a meeting to discuss the results, involvement for next year etc....? BTW, for those of you that weren't there Saturday, and even if you were, I ran an 11.94 1/4 mile @ 119.27!

I had horrible reaction times and ran 35 psi in my street tires. I really think I left a second out there. Didn't break anything, and didn't wreck unlike a Backdraft car that broke a left axle and hit the wall, ouch! Mark beat me in the GCC grudge match. I messed up and did what Skip told me NOT to do, I dumped the clutch and roasted my tires. Basically did my burnout at the staging lights, duh. That was my worst run at 13.59, but my best reaction time at .440, I know, don't laugh, that is horrible. If you don't know, a good reaction time would be .010, a GREAT reaction time would be .002. Met Greg Costello, mayor of Warrenton, that will be joining our club soon. As I got to the end of my last run, my best run's ticket blew out of the car. So, I ran down Greg, and it just so happened that this was the run I ran against him and he gave me the ticket, cool. I think we will be picking up a few more members from this week, so even if we didn't sell a lot of stuff, we did pick up some more people for our club.
