Met at the commuter lot @ 9am and waited for any stragglers. Kevin emailed Friday and said he's like to join us, but never saw him(?) Cars: Rich, Tim, Mike, Tom, Keith
The ladies scheming and talking about their husbands I'm sure. (Linda, Laurie, Linda, Kathy, and my co-pilot Ann (first cruise with the club).
Christening my new paint job. We were late because Ann’s shirt didn’t match her new hat she bought for the cruise.
Beautiful day for a cruise, but got stuck behind this "local" driving a Gator doing about 15 mph, on the highway! He should have been ticketed!
Made a brief pitstop after following the Gator for too many miles.
Pulled into downtown Hermann on mainstreet for registration. As our 6 Cobras pulled in, crowds started forming and cell phones and videos were being shot. Ann said she felt like a celebrity with all of the paparazzi.

Lots of new Mustangs.
But I’m still partial to the 60’s / 70’s stuff.
And race styles.
There were some really nice examples.
I liked these too, but prefer the original motors to the Coyotes in these. But still very nice cars.
Ron’s beautiful 289 (original), glad to see he made the trip.
Gene’s racey SPF FIA with new stacks and sponsor, numbers, and stripe changes over the winter.
Tom.
The wives, patiently waiting to leave. The shopping was a little disappointing I think (based on the fact that there were very few shopping bags)

Weather started looking bad, so we decided to head home and stopped in Cowan’s Restaurant in Washington for late lunch.
My first pie experience at Cowan’s, it was great!
As we were leaving Washington, it started raining. Not too bad, but enough to get wet and cause us to drive cautiously! So the new paint job got wet too.
But the funniest of the day was Ann SLEEPING in the roadster on the way home. She worked late last night and said she was tired. As I was coming off of highway T and turning onto 100, I looked over and she was sleeping as I was doing 60mph! Too funny. I pulled up behind Tom on Manchester at the stop light and waved to him, Linda turned around, saw Ann and cracked up.
(how could anyone sleep in a Cobra? Apparently I’m not driving aggressive enough!)
