Why does the fibreglass look crumpled like metal around the door/sidepipe?

Extra cap and rotor, hmmmm, MSD distributor, do I need their cap?

Brandon - what car you running at RNG, or are you since yours is at Fastlane.

This was posted over at Club Cobra by Clois. Brandon, didn't know if you paid yet or not:

One of our favorite drivers has paid for next weeks event and is not going to be able to make it. If you are considering coming and would like to save some money he is willing to discount his entry fee. Email me at: tulsacobra@valornet.com and I will put you in touch with him.

The "Roush car" as the FFR guys called it among themselves because of the special Roush intake had a carbon fiber body and it actually popped pretty well back into place once the stress on it was removed. The cracks were taped over and held up well. Hard to believe that was 10 years ago.
I have run a standard cap and rotor on my MSD distributor but you can get the MSD parts at O'Reilly, usually on the wall at the far end of the counter if you want them.

PV,
Works out well, Dave is going to bring my car with him. I just have to clean it up before it goes back.

PV is back on the ground and ready for a little test ride tomorrow before RNG :)

one thing you all must remember if you have a mishap during competion ??? will your insurance cover - it may cover the damage you do - but will it cover your car - please check your policy

It does not, I don't know that anyone's insurance will. I know that going in, so, yes, it's a risk. But I also know that tearing my car up isn't worth a $5 trophy. Fun event, going to have fun and not take too much risk.

Insurance is VOID on the track. But, on the upside - breaking the speed limit is permitted.

I'm in a pickle. With rain forecasted for Friday, and that being the last day at the track, I have no way to get my car home. Anyone know anyone with an enclosed trailer I can borrow or where I can rent one?

With rain forecasted for Thursday and Friday, will they still hold the race? How does it effect the schedules?

Hey guys! What Dan said

I see rain and more rain in tomorrow's forecast.
I asked off tomorrow and my dad's driving in an hour to join me.

What are the plans if it rains? (besides get wet)

You guys could always come over here and help me trim doors, hood and hatch. :)

Tim, wish I could help with the trailer but I don't know anyone with one. We looked at renting one for London and couldn't even find one locally.

Don't bother coming out. They'll cancel the day. The cast will have a catered lunch at Fastlane probably. Friday may be ok if the storm blows out quick enough.

What Mark said. Mike, uh, wow! Your body is on! :D

So if I understand this post I'm out/off duty tomorrow night but I'm still ON for Fri. night Correct??????

I may end up being the first guy whos car shows up but the driver doesn't. My dad is having some issues with the ole ticker. I am driving him to the hospital in the AM. Keep me up on what is happening schedule wise.

Driver's meeting 8am tomorrow morning. You must attend this if you want to get on the track tomorrow. They claim they will run the track if it's wet, drizzling or not raining but puddles. Should be exciting. Your car didn't actually make it to the track today, but I did see it at Fastlane.
