RNG Participants

I think we can add the auto cross to the experience this year. That seems fair. Your class and sub-class are based on your car. Your run group is based on your Thursday morning times. This means you will not be competing with all the cars on the track with you during your session. They are are the track with you because they are running a similar time and that will make for faster, safer laps. The run groups have nothing to do with your classes. You may all be in the same run group and all place first in your classes.

Ok, looking for ideas. I just realized this weekend that I had scheduled a family get together in Arkansas 10/9 - 10/11. Sooooo, need ideas on how to participate, and still get to Arkansas 10/9.

Um, no, getting together with them 10/9, 10, and coming back 10/11. Dean, check your PM's on Club Cobra.com

Thanks for the heads up on FFR. Clois is a member over there and he will post more detail tommorrow. I'm sorry to hear that you might not make R&G this year.

Well, still have to think this one out. I could not change my reservations at Mt. Magazine in October. So, I could spend $500 and run Wednesday and Thursday, but not Friday. Worth it? Guess that depends on whether I have it or not.

If it will make you feel better, I run Saturday for you. I won't even break your lap time with a smallblock. :D

Well, if you run Saturday, you'll beat everyone because there will be no one there :D :p

My first year I ran Thursday, and one session Friday morning. For me it was worth it. I also chalk it up to spending $495 for Richard Petty. That was 10 laps. In one day of RnG you will get 3-6 sessions on the track. Well worth the $$. Clois and Dean do a GREAT job at getting everyone track time. You will barely have time to use the bathroom before you go out again.
In contrast. We did Hallett a couple weeks ago. One of the days, we got one session in the morning and a couple in the afternoon.

Thanks Brandon, needed that. So, I will pay my $560 to run Test and Tune Wednesday, run for times at the autocross and roadcourse Thursday and stand on those times. Guess someone else could run my number in the afternoon.

Speaking of numbers, do they hand those out for use while there or do I need to get some?

Like I was told my first year. Show up with your helmet. They will have the numbers when you check in. You will also be given the transponder to use. Biggest thing is remember to turn in the transponder. I think it is about $400 if you forget:eek:. On your application you can also request a certain number.

With some re-arranging and a great idea by Linda, I will be able to attend all 3 days now. Now, have to save money to do it.

That is great news!!! You should get your garage space reserved or maybe you could share the spot with the club tent.

I need to send Clois my $60, I reserved the space next to the tech lane. Dean, you bringing your GT-40 since it's for sale?

Garage space reserved, RNG registration completed today.:D Now just have to keep the car together until October :D

You can take my car out on Test and Tune day, assuming you can handle a big block :D

That's ok Tim, I appreciate it. I don't think that would be a problem, I'd have to drive slower through the corners anyway because of the big block!:D:p But I really do appreciate the offer.

Hey, a lap or two wouldn't hurt a thing, plus would make you hungry to do it next year. :)
