QuickJack SEMA Show Specials...!

Ok, needed 3 to get the deal. However, backup plan in place.....PRI in Indy. Bob, will call you in the next week or so (before 12/6) and get details from you.

Have you seen this just posted...??

The only issue is that the discount does not include accessories apparently.

But...Free shipping is a major cost saving.

I ordered the BL-5000SLX yesterday. It was $1119.30 total.
Figured that was pretty good deal.

I ordered the 7000 SXL, 12v with the SUV extenders....got free shipping all for a little under $1,500. Looking forward to using this! :D Merry Christmas to me....I'm told :D

Is hydraulic jack oil the same as hydraulic fluid? The Quick Jack instructions say:
Any general purpose ISO-32,46, or 68 Hydraulic fluid, approved automatic transmission fluid such as Dexron III, Dexron VI, Mercon V, Mercon LV, or any synthetic multi vehicle ATF.
Thoughts?

jack oil is typically ISO-32. When I was working for Weaver and Rotary, we used to spec "RandO 32" as the preferred oil for the jacks and any form of ATF for our above ground power units. The power unit on the QuickJack is very similar to a lift power unit. ATF will be your most economical purchase.

Tim, I have a little over 2 gallons left of the hydraulic oil I put in my 4 post lift if you want it. FE48CD41-1E56-4ACE-A802-BDCE48F7CF4E.jpg

I just used ATF I had on hand...
Worked fine.

Well, I filled with the Jack Oil and it seems to work fine so far. Having issues bleeding one of them as it jerks/squeaks when lowering it....with no load. With me standing on it, it lowers smoothly, but, has a weird moan to it. I'm assuming it still has air in the system. Maybe because the units are cold sitting in my garage.

Yep...there is air in the system but the air cylinder with 50 psi will help minimize the erratic lowering.

Did you stand the lifts vertically to bleed the air in the hyd cylinders a second time? That helps a lot. It is not mentioned in the paper instructions but is in the online video of hints.

In reality, the slow or erratic lowering when not loaded is not an important issue and it does improve after multiple uses.

Make sure the hydraulic oil tank remains fully vented at the fill cap.

The moan you are hearing is typical of all hydraulic systems even when operating properly. It is just the fluid moving through the system.

I last used mine outside in high 30 deg temps for an oil change on the Genesis with no problem.

Yes, stood them up, let them stand for 3 - 5 minutes and opened the bleeder. I'm going to watch tonight to make sure I have enough fluid in. I filled the reservoir with 2.5 qts prior to using, obvously. But I'm wondering how much fluid was needed in the new lines, and the cylinder. Maybe I'm running out of fluid inducing air in the system? Anyway, going to check more tonight. I bled one 5 times. The other, only took 3.

What's bothering me most is with just my weight on there, one is lowering faster than the other, so, need to get that corrected I'm thinking before putting the car on them.

Mine did that. I raised and lowered it 5-10 times, and then bled the lines again. It seemed to clear it up.

Having to cover their a$$....I had the same question, but, the instructions also say, before this revision, to NOT lift to the highest position without weight on them. Not sure what the weight of the car is without engine and body on it, but, I feel it's enough to keep it from getting stuck. Thanks for posting Kerry, I had received the email and forgot to post it here.
