Putnam - September 17 - 19

Registered this morning. Need to get my numbers ordered now. Steve, have you been able to re-use your numbers?
 
Which "Mark" was over at Paul's yesterday getting their car balanced? Do they plan on running at Putnam?

Mark P and I stayed at Super 8 in Greencastle, only a few miles from the track. Where are you staying?
 
Ok, my meatballs, #49, are on order and will be here next week. Need to make hotel reservations, since Steve is at Holiday Inn Express Cloverdale, will be there. Dan, we need to leave Friday the 17th and get over to Indy early enough to get tech inspection done. You get your helmet? Headed up to Danny's on the 9th for my certified tech inspection.
 
OK. So you're saying I need to get off my @ss and get it done. OK. I'll order the Meatballs tomorrow, The driveshaft loop will be on by the 9th. What do I have to do for a tech inspection? Oh and No, I still need to run over and get the helmet! :D
 
For those of you not going to Putnam to run, consider this......

The drive from Wildwood, MO to the track is just under 4 hours (5 with the time change).

To have few guys jump into a car and be at the track early after afternoon, hang around BSing, watching the cars and having dinner would be great. You should be home by 11:00.

At other Putnam events we've had guys come down from Chicago, Bloomington, IL and Columbus, OH just to hang.

Any takers?

I found the meatballs at raceline.com (I think). Much cheaper than Finishline. There is a tech inspection form on the website: http://kypca.org/images/stories/documents/KYPCA_Tech_Inspection.pdf

I'm having Danny do mine on 9/9. The rest of the tech inspection must be done by them, and you can have it done Friday night at the host hotel in Indy or Saturday morning prior to getting on the track (you could miss your first session though).

Tech can also be performed on Friday at the track if we get there before the end of the sessions.

Dan, I just received my numbers from raceline digital, and they are black numbers with no background. Won't show up on my car. Re-ordering them from http://www.ratracinggraphics.com/ He says he can get them to me by 9/16. If not, guess I'll be looking for white tape :rolleyes:

Taking the car to Danny's tomorrow for the tech inspection and to retrofit my new brake reservoir that hopefully will cure my brake woes. Flush the system again, and on to Putnam next weekend. :D
 
I have mine coming from Finishline. They should be here by the weekend. My helmet came in today and i ppick it up tomorrow. I'm going to try and relax this weekend and work on the car in prep for the tech inspection. Ready to Rumble next Friday. :)
 
Ok, anyone else going with Steve, Dan & I? It's a 4 hour ride (w/my trailer behind me) so even if you just want to come to watch, do that as Steve said. It's a wide open track, plenty of viewing area and picture opportunities :D
 
Dan, if you haven't already, find some 200mph tape and tape your wheel weights on unless you have the tap on kind. Bring lot's of tape. You may want to tape up the front end of your car to prevent a bunch of road rash. I need to pickup anything from you to put in my trailer before next weekend?
