The Kentucky Porsche Club is hosting an event at Putnam on September 17th through the 19th. http://www.kypca.org/ I don't see a registration page on thier site yet, but the event does show up on Putnam's schedule. I've run multiple times with the KYPCA and they put on a great event.

See the April Putnam posting for additional informaiton.

This event is on the same weekend as Gingerman so I won't make this one.

Steve

I can't make that one. I will be at the best Cobra track event in the world!

Run and Gun

KCC is interested in attending this with us. I sent Toni, Prez of the Porsche Club, an e-mail to find out more details if any. Will let everyone know what I find out.

I was originally going to skip this event and go to Gingerman (since they're on the same weekend), but I've changed my mind.

Is anyone else planning on going?

Tim - have you heard from the KY Cobra Club?

Steve

I'm planning on attending this one. It's only a little over 3 hours away. Tim said he had a blast at this and I can find out what the car can do. Right now, Ash may be coming with me. Honest.

Dan:

I'm glad you're coming.

I hope your daughter deals well with long periods of boredom. Even though there are cars on the track all day long, Dad will only be out there once an hour. In between she'll have to listen to a bunch of guys bench race.

Steve

I have sent an e-mail to the Activities Chair person Steve about this event. So, the headcount at this point is:

Steve
Mark E
Dan T
Me

Anyone else? Regarding the KCC, I will confirm the information with the Porsche club before re-connecting with Juan.

I'm thinking I might join you. Run and Gun will likely be cancelled due to lack of registrations. Put me on the list.

Tim:

I emailed Jeremy Miller (VP of the KYPCA) on Friday and he confirmed the dates and that registration would open up 4 - 5 weeks before the event.

Steve

Ok, great. Will the registration be through their website? Do you remember the cost? I will send a message to Juan with KCC and make sure they are still interested.

It would be nice to know where they are staying. I would guess the Holiday Inn Express but there are other choices.

Mark and I stayed at the Super 8 in Greencastle last time. It was fine, the room was clean and $59/night. There is an HIE across the road which looked new. Greencastle is where we stayed, and we found a great restaurant and dairy bar North of the track :D The advantage that the Super 8 had was plenty of open parking. Some of the Porshe owners stayed there last time.

They've posted some additional info - http://kypca.org/driver-education

10/10ths Motorsports is going to be there 8/28 and 8/29 - it sounds like a better value for your money, but I won't be able to attend that unless someone's wife wants to go with Linda to Rascal Flatts and Kellie Pickler 8/27

Lots of rules on the Porsche thing. Steve, you have run with them, how much track time do you get? It says (4) 25 minute sessions per day.

Registration isn't open yet it appears. Steve, stay on top of this would ya? Reading their groupings, I will be in their beginner group :D

Oh yeah, please note you must supply your own numbers on both sides of the car. I don't have any, just planned to use some construction orange spray paint and put them on  :D

I have a reminder in my Outlook Calendar.

Instead of spray paint you may want to use blue painter's tape.
