Here we are in July with half the year gone and we've not gone on an official cruise  So, open up next weekend. Weather appears to be ok, long range. Maybe we can help Mark put some miles on his car. Where are we going? Let's meet at the Alton Riverfront Park at 10am. We will cruise up to Grafton for some shopping and lunch at the Loading Dock. The river road re-opened this past Friday, so let's hope the rain coming in doesn't raise it back up. From Grafton, we will head on up to Hardin, IL for some ice cream.

From Hardin, depending on weather, we can continue North to Louisiana, MO and take 79 back. Yeah, I know, not the most exciting roads, but we'll be out, together! :D OR, we can come back from whence we came and end up at Fast Eddie's :D

So, who's going?

I would love to go. Unfortunately Shelley is out of town and I'm ferrying the kids all over the place. I'll be thinking of you. Hopefuly I'll get to go on the next one.

I left my car at the in-laws in the town I grew up yesterday. I need it down there the 17th and 18th, and didn't think anything was going on this weekend. So I will be unable to make it also.

Ok, sorry you can't make it Dan & Craig. So, guess I'm going by myself :) Looks like Grafton has a flood warning out again, so it may be underwater anyway

It appears there is moderate flooding around Grafton. Anyone know if the River Road is under water? May need to cancel.

If the road is closed you could always go north around the closed part & then take the back roads to Pere Marquette or Fieldon & then on to Hardin.

BTW I would recommend that the meet & greet place @ 10am be McD's instead of Riverfront Park for several reasons: 1. Less confusion 2. refreshments 3. restrooms.

BTW II Sat. or Sun. ???????

BTW III If Fast Eddies is too crowded for dinner afterwards (& it usually is on weekends/long lines to get in) choice B could be either Riverbend Billards (great burgers) http://riverbendbilliards.com/ or Chubby's http://www.yelp.com/biz/chubbys-warehouse-bar-and-grill-alton both on Broadway near Fast Eddies.

Ok, Sunday it is. I had picked Riverfront Park because of more room to park, there are public restrooms there, but they don't have refreshments. I had planned to bring my own drinks, but McD's it is. The earlier the better though this time of year, get's hot in the afternoon, see what you can do Dave :)

Thanks Tim. :) The Fordcast for this weekend is cooler & more temperate.:) The big Q is will Marky Mark & the infamous Blue Pig be joining us? :D OK It's me & Ter(?), Tim & the devine Ms. M, Bruce & Debbie [Love you guys :)], Mikey & Mary (The nut & the sane one), THE Blue Pig(?) & Marky Mark. others?????????????? How bout my buddy Big O? :D How bout Go Fast Stever?

I'm up in the air at this point, but will let you know. Remember, we are at that age that we still have to locate a sitter for the kids to do anything

I know you don't want to and we want Amy to come too, but you can put some easy miles on her Sunday without adult supervision, right? Bring one of the kid's along. They'll have fun :D
