Naja's "I know this road" Cruise

Not trying to speak for others, but from the meeting Tuesday I got nods from at least Mark and Tom. Someone said you were on the DL. Something about getting hit by an airborne '58 'vette.
Bummer, hope you are doing better by now.

We have done this run before and unless the weather turns 180 from what they are currently predicting, there is no way we are going to miss it. Great back roads with good pavement thrown in for your cornering pleasure :)

Yep, I'm going. Linda has some shopping or something to do, so I have a free seat.

Thanks for the concern & the well wishes buddy. I'm on the mend & I'm going to be burning up the road before you can speed by me. :D

Tim, let me think this through, that makes

One for the money
Two for the show,
Three to get ready, and
FOUR to go!!!!!!

Looks like the weather will be CLEAR but cool. Layered clothing recommended.
I am so ready to cruise after seeing the gang at Sonic!

Do you have anyone in your empty shotgun slot, yet?

NAJA's Cruise

Pictures from today. Great, beautiful day for a cruise. Met Mark, Greg, Keith & Matthew, and Jim/Jerry/Bill & Chuck. Our first stop was in Linn, Mo. where the strangest story of the day comes. Mark, Greg, and Jim filled up with gas, while waiting for them to come out, Chuck and I watch as a pickup drives in along with a white car that comes to a screaching halt next to him where the passenger jumps out and yells "Fire, Fire, Fire!!!!" Remember the cartoon where the cat goes in several directions at once? Yeah, that's what happened to me. One part to my car to get a water bottle(my fire extinguisher isn't mounted yet), one part back inside to get the employees and one part running to get away. So, the guy jumps out of the car and reaches behind the front left tire and pulls out a t-shirt(or rag) that is on fire and drops it on the ground, uh, yeah, right next to the gas pump that is next to where Mark's car is parked. Yeah, if not for bad luck..... So, one guy stomps on it a couple times, but it's still burning. Who puts it out? Why the guys 10 - 12 y.o. son of course. He musta been a Boy Scout. So, no harm, no foul I guess. On to the pics....

Didn't take any in Herman, but Mark did, I think. After leaving Hermann, we went to Washington and a great Frozen Custard stand that hit the spot, for me anyway. Mark and I left the crew and headed to Chuck a Burger at 370 and Elm for one last gathering there. That one is closing but the Rock Road location is staying open. Mike w was there, so we hung out long enough for something to eat and drink. Quite a few cars came and went, kind of like a visitation for a funeral.

The blue light blue Superformance. Was that GLOVE's car? I told him about the cruise, but wasn't sure if he would make it.

The blue SPF was Greg, the light blue is Jim's. He said the stars just happened to align right. Great guy, and hope he can make more. I think he had a blast.

Looks like another great cruise, sorry we missed it. We got up early and got all layered up and ready to go but when I started the car there was the white smoke of death coming from the drivers side pipe and the smell of burnt antifreeze telling me that water was getting into a cylinder so I shut it down and started tearing into it. What a mess inside with milky sludge everywhere. I thought it was an intake gasket but I went ahead and pulled the head anyway to be sure and thought of you guys out having fun in the countryside. Linda was sorry to miss it too but made the most of the day planting flowers and washing cars while keeping me company. Should be back together by Wednesday or so.

The head gasket was not fully "blown" but did have a questionable area at cylinder 8. I had re torqued the intake manifold Saturday night because it was using more water from the recovery tank than I thought it should. I didn't see any reason to take it for a drive when I was done (I made it better right? :(). Apparently the head gasket was on the verge of trouble and when I torqued the intake down it lifted the head at the corner just enough to let some water through and make a mess.

Anyone else notice my car looked out of place? Look at the gas station pics, Blue, Blue, Blue, PURPLE, Blue. No wonder I have a complex :D

Thanks, I'll have to get an after action report from GLOVE next time I see him. He is a nice guy, but very busy between work and the kids.

It was a great time, little chilly in the morning. I really thought Dan would be there, blower still giving you problems? By the way what is wrong with Blue?
