Regan - I most likely will not be taking the Cobra (either Riviera or Mustang) so if you want to see if the Bimini Top I made will work on your car, let me know. It stop rain at while stopped....

So, Me, Kent and Mark are registered to attend the stop at WWT Raceway and driving to Springfield. Any others? Scott J, I know you mentioned you're driving up to Rantoul, then back, will you also be going to Springfield?

For those on the fence, the event will be a lot of sitting in traffic on the day of arrival, so, make sure your cooling system is operating good. It is a rain or shine event. Prudent to take out the insurance if taking your Cobra, I believe Scott is taking a different car with a top. I've not seen if there are planned routes to Springfield, but, assume there are (?).

Up date on The Hot Rod Power Tour They are having a "Pit Stop" in Rolla, Mo and Joplin, Mo if you are registered you should have received an email, I had to check my junk mail for the email before this one

If anyone is interested in seeing is travel through with HRPT the plan for those locally meeting the tour at WWTR is to meet at Kent's House NLT 10:45 am with a planned departure at 11am on Wednesday 6/10. On Thursday, 6/11, we are meeting at Wally's in Fenton at 8am before traveling on to Springfield with stops along the way. Looking forward to it! That is of course unless I'm called in to jury duty.... My check in is Monday 6/8 to find out

Finalizing the Cobra packing list and finishing up a couple mods before we head to Kent's / WorldWide on Wednesday morning.
I'm planning to be at the meeting Tuesday night @ Bench Racers.

Regan and Nancy made it fine and she sent me a few pics. Many were caught in some downpours getting to Joliet. Regan decided the rain chances were too great to take the Cobra, so, took his Thunderbird instead

If you purchased a Multi Day ticket with the optional protection, be aware that the protection expires 48 hours after today. So, by end of day Wednesday. So, if you opt for a refund, you will not be able to attend as a participant any day unless you get a refund and then purchase a single day ticket. It's 50/50 for rain on Thursday for the St Louis to Springfield leg.

My thoughts, it's just water, but, also, don't want to be sitting in traffic while getting rained on or have rain the entire trip. So, we will need to make a go/no go call tomorrow.

Attended HRPT today and caught up with Regan, Nancy and Scott. Was hot, but lots of cars and the drag strip was busy. We arrived early, and literally drove right in to our parking spots. Saw lots of neat and cool cars, met some new people, saw people I knew and we got a pic with Lucky Costa. Scott took a turn on the drag strip and ran a respectable 14.88 at 92mph. We're headed out tomorrow at 8am from Wally's.
