I have been thinking about going since I got the Hot Rod email Wednesday, and it will be the 100th anniversary of Route 66.

June should be nice…thinking about this, more details needed…plenty time….sound fun…

As mentioned last night by Regan, several levels of tickets are sold out. However, Myself, Kent, Kevin and a couple of others thought attending here at Gateway Raceway, then driving to Missouri State would be what we would try and do. See this LINK to the $185 ticket we will need.

So, who's in? I know Regan is planning to be a Long Hauler, but, possibly not in the Cobra.

I'm interested in starting in St. Louis to Springfield (and maybe to Tulsa). If anyone is thinking about it, maybe we can get more details and have a post-meeting smaller discussion in February.

That sounds like it would be interesting to do, don't think I would be able to drive the long haul but a couple days would work.

Thanks Regan for taking the lead on this. If you have questions concerning the event, please give Regan a call as he doesn't visit the forum very often. I'm still on the fence, but, largely due to the status of my car still all over the garage. The current plan as I know it, is
- Regan has registered for the Long Haul. This means he will be with the tour from start to finish. Maybe a Cobra, but, probably something else.
- Several have expressed interest in joining the tour at WWT Raceway on 6/10, then, traveling with the tour to Springfield, MO.
- If I understand the tour right, you will show up the morning of 6/10 at WWT Raceway where the action ramps up again, where attendees can participate in drag racing and autocross, offering a full day of high-performance driving opportunities.
- Participants will, I believe, stay in surrounding hotels the night of 6/10. Of course, those that are joining for the day, will head home, then travel to Springfield, Missouri State University, the next morning. REGAN: If there are additional details, please let me know.
- You'll spend the day at Missouri State University, and anyone continuing on to Tulsa will need a hotel room nearby. Others, will return home.

It will be a full day of walking, and looking at what I would expect to be over 3,000 cars. Pack a chair, pack a cooler with water, pack a hat, sunblock and rainwear. We'll talk about this at multiple meetings, so, think of questions you may have, and we'll address them then.
