Is the club house open for breakfast? I will be leaving home about 6-6:30(it is 2 hrs for me) and plan on stopping for breakfast...anyone up to join me? If so, where would be a good place?

I do not know about breakfast at the clubhouse.

As far as playing, we will make the "weather call" on Thursday night. By the looks of it, it doesn't look too promising, but I still have my fingers crossed.

There is a Cracker Barrell @ I64 & IL157, there is a Waffle House @ I70 & IL157 near the intersection of I255 & I70, or there is a truck stop right across from Gateway Raceway.

Hey Chuck love your clip. Reminds of the time me & a buddy of mine were playing at Legacy in GC, Il. It was about 32 degrees, sleeting & ice was forming on the clubs. Ice would shatter and fly when you hit the ball off the tee with a metal driver. It was hard to putt on the greens cause of the sleet & ice on the greens. My buddy wussed out after 9 holes cause the cry baby said he was cold. I was ready to play the back nine too & finish 18.

Hey guys when do you wanna make the call about tomorrow? Out of consideration for Snakey we should call it sometime tonight. If it rains all night tonight they will probably make us stay on the cart path tomorrow if it clears in the morning.

We're saying its a go. All the rain is moving south of us. Mikey will get soaked over in Mcleansboro, but the rain line stopped around Arnold area for us. Dave Murray said MAYBE 0.5" of rain. Not hardly a drop here.

I will be there around 8:30a or so. If it sprinkles or is a light rain, I'm good.

BTW, if we finish early, I'd like to drive up and meet Danny and see his shop.

I can ck my mail in the AM...Will be up by 5:30, I plan on leaving around 6 ish..drizziling rain here...we have our annual Fall Festival on the square the turn out was good tonight....Rotary Club sold 5 gal of homemade icecream in about an hour.

I had a great time today with Chuckster, MikeW/Snakey, & Chuck's buddy Mike. We played 18 @ Gateway in extremely wet sloppy conditions, but we had lots of fun. BTW Feel free to ask me about the birdie that I had, but please don't ask me about the other 17 holes.

The cart/driver combo I was in made for interesting times to say the least...I believe it affected my game.
Had a great time with some great guys. This is a do again for sure.
I don't recall seeing a birdie, but did see a bunch of turkeys(not our foresome).

Yeah Mke I did notice that your score seemed to improve dramatically from the last time I saw you play cause you were carted up with me. Hey Chuck go ahead & play from the tips & I'll play from just in front of the red tees which should give me an outside chance of beating you. Did ya notice the floor mats in Mark's golf cart?

Played a LOT better today. Thanks be to God. I don't think I 3 putted a single green today. Birdied the 1st hole. Shot 42 on the 1st 9 then 37 on the 2nd 9. Man I needed that.
