Going out Saturday to look at some serial numbers on the block and rear for a guy in Florida. Apparently, if this car has an LX in the serial number it is a 425 dual carb setup with nail heads. Taking my car out there and will take the long way home

Well, that was kinda fun. Found out the car wasn't a numbers matching car and the engine (most important to the prospective buyer) was from a '66 not a '65. It is however a 425 with dual carbs, just not the hipo motor being sought. Car was really rough, nearly every panel would need to be replaced.

The car is at a body shop in St. Paul, and the guy says he has a Cobra coming to paint soon, he didn't know the owner. He had a '59 MG in the shop that he was painting, looked like it was going to be a nice car. Nice brisk ride in the car this morning, but the car has a stumble/miss in it...again. Need to call Omer.
