WE'RE ON
- Meet at QuikTrip Eureka for a 9AM departure. We recommend arriving there by 8:30AM

Route Map attached below

The weather this year won't cooperate to do an overnite style cruise, so on to plan "C" (plan b didn't work either) So we are back to the original date(s).

We'll do a full-day cruise on a Saturday, leaving from the Eureka QuikTrip. A full day of cruising, ending on the Illinois side for an early dinner at a noted BBQ restaurant.

There are options as to the best date, so I've provided a poll to try and figure out how to make it work. Sorry for the short notice

We might be in for the 31st. I had my knee scoped a couple of weeks ago and I'm not sure it's ready for an all day ride. I'll be testing it out tomorrow night if the rain holds off.

OK, looks like the 31st wins - We'll still monitor the weather as this year has been pretty unpredictable.

It has not - only generalization. We'll head to southern Missouri then cross the river to a late afternoon BBQ dinner on the Illinois side.

Time to get them out, looks like the weather might cooperate after all.

We'll begin from the QuikTrip in Eureka. Please plan to be there around 8:30 am so we can leave at 9 AM

We'll run south with a light lunch in Arcadia. We swing towards Illinois with a slight detour in Perryville to see the Wall, then across the river and up to Red Bud for an early meal at Burnt Ends. It's a very highly rated BBQ house.

We should be done with dinner around 5-5:30 for your trip back into Missouri or Illinois, depending on where you're based.

The route is on Ride W/ GPS.

Someone mentioned needing to leave early: We will be crossing I55 by Perryville around 1:30, you could get off there and head back to the city.

Hope to see many out this weekend.

My new seats are arriving tomorrow. Gonna try and get them in before Saturday. At the moment, I'm a definite maybe. Linda is out as she had a Pilates class scheduled

Now arriving Thursday. Gonna concentrate on getting drivers side done by Saturday.

Looks like we finally get good weekends.

Poll Reset !

I''ve reset the poll, let us know who's planning to go so we can make arrangements

Graduation prep…I’ll be out sadly…Family Arena…SUNDAY…have fun…

……..also I can’t do the wall, tried one time sometime back when it travelled to O’Fallon…Barbara wanted me to go….said I won’t go till it’s late…went at 3am thinking it would quiet…wrong it was packed at that hour….they found the names I provided immediately, it was strange and uncanny….I then tried to do several rubbings…was stuck on one (Bobby Jump - Maryland)…a Marine came up to me as I was attempting the rubbing, after several minutes no luck getting frustrated a dressed Marine informs me saying…”Sir” this wall is flat, and you can not do rubbings. I left, THE END! Good luck all, let it sink in 58,000+…

DTC's are cleared - Dyno tune done - Testing Friday before the cruise.
If all goes as expected I'll be there.
Still not sure about DeeDee.

Paul,
Thanks for setting up this cruise.
Great roads, friend, & food.
Minor hiccup to remember this one.
I'm sure there are pics to follow.

Had a great day on the roads except for this:

Guys I'm sorry to have thrown such a big wrench into the fun. It was appreciated that everyone hung around till the flatbed came, but I would have been okay waiting. Next time we're together, ice cream's on me.
Be careful of this, not the hat but the shitty road repair:

So, for those not with us, this trench dug by modot to replace a culvert had a 2"+ drop off. Some hit this just right with no issue and didn't even feel a bump. Others like Rich hit it at a point where in Rich's case, it flat spotted the wheel and separated the outer ring of the wheel from the hub. Luckily, Rich was able to bring the car to a stop in a driveway. Lesson learned, slow down for bumps, dips, and railroad tracks so this doesn't happen to you. I know I've been lax on this especially crossing railroad tracks. And Rich, no problem. We had fun talking during the wait and not your fault. 👍😁

Ugh, sorry to hear this Rich…bummer…big bumps are never good…! I rememberwhenI lost my pin drive and rear wheel came off…WTH!! Hope it’s fixed soon…
