Dragon nats final details thread

Don't know. I leave that up to you guys. Now it is saying 40% chance both Saturday and Sunday. I don't want to go out if it is raining, but I also have the luxury of going out for a couple hours if the weather looks good. It is completely your call. I am excited for the weekend, but I am also realistic.

Shelley and I are going either in the Cobra or the van, but we're going. We've been looking forward to getting away for a night. If the rain chances stay where they are, then we'll come down in the van. Worst case is we walk around the Dragon nationals for a while and then shop for a while before dinnr and no cruising. It just isn't the same in a mini-van.:)
Brandon, if you and Shannon decide to change your plans for the breakfast, just let me know. We'll sleep in a little. ;) Hope to see you on Saturday.

Sounds good to me. Shannon and I have a sitter so worst case scenerio make rounds in the family truckster:o then dinner Saturday sounds GREAT!

I cancelled the hotel reservation. Rain chance up to 50% now. If Linda were coming with me, I would be there so we could go to dinner. As it is, I will be coming by myself, while she goes to Fairmount for the derby. So, to put this one to bed as far as me, I will not be coming. Will be going to Fairmount to watch the horse race and enjoy the day with her. Sorry if this causes an issue Brandon, darn rain, when will it stop! :( Ya'll have a good dinner, I'm sure we will have another chance to come down.

Makes sense. Dan, I will PM you info. Shannon really has no desire to go to the car show, so I say if you are up for it...We skip the breakfast, if the weather looks good I'll pick you up, you and I hit the show for awhile then the four of us meet up for dinner. What do you think? Shannon is going to do The Taste of Home Show from I think 1-3 if Shelly is interested.

Brandon, I don't know, but I'll ask her. if we're only going for a couple of hours, she'll probably come to the show too, but she may go to the mall too. Who knows. I just know we haven't gone anywhere in about a year and a half, so we just want to relax and have some fun. Skipping breakfast is fine, we'll come down a little later then and sleep in a little. Looking forward to getting out and seeing you again.

After Action Report

Well, Shelley and I had a blast with Brandon & his lovely wife Shannon. As fate would have it, Shannon and I went to the same High School, albeit at different times. There's were tons of cool cars from bone stock originals to highly modified. There must have been 10 or better '67 Stingrays, but one black convertible got my vote for the best one. Brandon & Shannon were great hosts and we had a fun time just sitting on the Deck at the Salty Dog and watching the boat traffic with sonme drinks before a great steak dinner. A big thanks to Brandon and Shannon for a great time. Remember to come up for a Cards game and you can stay with us. Shelley will even give up her spot in the garage for a Cobra. :D Hope to come back next year with the cars on a friday night and get into the cruising.

Shannon and I also had a blast. Thanks for coming! My vote was a 58 vette or the little messershmitt(?) on our way out. This year there was over 750 cars registered. Thanks again for coming, we will definately hook up again in Stl.

Guess it didn't rain there  That figures, but I had a good time with my wife at Fairmount. No pictures?!

Looked like it was going to rain all day, but it never did. Rained a little over night, but that was it. No worries, always good to spend time with the wife. We didn't being our camera, but I think Shelly might have taken a couple pics.

No we forgot our camera too. Just the great pictures in my head and I can't download them. The was only one cobra there. A Shell Valley kit. Brandon pointed out Randy's (?) convertable shelby mustang. It was just parked in a lot right before the start of the displayed cars. Then of all things we notice he left the keys in the ignition! I couldn't believe it. Nice car. Maybe Mark could talk him out of it. Maybe?!:D

BTW PV nice new signature image!

Well, you two should get an "infraction" for not bringing your cameras :D

For those that don't know the car he is reffering to that had the keys left in it is a 68 conv. GT 350.

i heard there was one of the biggest turnouts from the sprinklerfitter at the job i was on and the crappie were bitten down there too,,, mmmmmmmmmmm crappie and Andy's mix deap fried with beer oops i forgot it didn't rain either till late:Dalso heard there was a nice turnout at the grizzlies car show near Sauget:cool:
