I spoke to the hotel owner on Friday. He told me he books up about 2 months ahead and is taking calls now. My thought is, I am not a car show participant. I would host a day or two over this weekend. Say cruise Saturday, spend some time at the show to look around and take the concensus of everyone that comes. Any thoughts?

Brandon,

Thanks for the heads up. I'll talk to Shelley about it and see if I can get away. I'm not really the show participant type either, but I would like to look around and drive down for a while. I'll let you know in a day or so.

Here is the initial plan. I know it can change, but I wanted to be sure to get it to everyone early in case anyone wants to stay over. Meet at the house Saturday morning for breakfast/brunch. Take a good cruise around the lake. Show up at the car show to look around for an hour or two, short evening cruise to dinner on the water. For those that want to stay over we can do another cruise to breakfast on the water for those interested.

The hotel is the Village Inn. (573) 348-5207. It is $65 per night. The hotel is next door to the outlet mall.

If we get a good showing, I bet we could get Randy to get his ride out and come along.

If we have a good showing I will also post to the KC club.
Feeback please.

I think one way or another I'm going. Shelley is trying to see if her Masters classes will be over by then. So unless something unforeseen happens I'll see you on that Saturday morning.

I think I'll make a reserv. for 2 nights & take a wait & see on the W/X. Ev. works out I may go down on Fri. How bout the swaying bridge Kid or HaHa Tonka?

sure. I am open all weekend. For anyone that wants to come down early. We may have to take another car for the bridge but I can get it done. Ha Ha Tonka will be part of the Saturday cruise.

Tim, This is no should. Only DO! One way or another we'll get both of our rides back together by then. You call me and I'll call you. No Problem.;)

Ok...maybe I am too old or too new here, but tell more about the Dragon Natl's..I can't seem to find where and what it is in the thread, only it must be close to the Lake of the Ozarks.
I would like to attend if my social director does not have other plans for me.

Hey Mike Google Magic Dragon Nationals. :) BTW There is an outlet mall for the girls @ Osage Beach, Mo.. :)

Thanks Dave..found it. I worked in the lake area for a short time years ago. Middle of winter and colder than a well diggers ass

Cars will be fine. It is a great weekend, because there will be over 700 custom cars on the streets. If anyone is nervous or if weather turns south I have a warehouse about 10 miles away that anyone is welcome to use.

I just want to re-iterate that I am not a car show person. This a great show to go to, but I am not showing my car nor will I be there all day. I am planning some cruise time, show time and food and drink time.

Hey this is a great opportunity to take our sweeties with us on this cruise to Carpe' Kidville. So far it's just me & Bull. Others? If we get enough girls to go I would be willing to volunteer our van as a support vehicle to haul the girls & their outlet mall purchases.:D BTW Hey Kid what's the news on this year's raffle car? Will it be a Cobra?
