Did everyone crawl in their caves for the winter??

Very sorry to hear of the personal family loses....

Kathy was just released from the Mineral Area Hospital after being in ICU for three days.

She went into Diabetic Keto Acidosis Tuesday where her blood sugar went out of control. She went in with blood sugars in the high 500's and while in the ICU experienced a dramatic drop in blood sugar to a low of 33... She was given morphine to control the abdominal pain.

As a result... her heart was beating irregularly and her kidneys were acting abnormally.

She is out of the hospital now and just resting at home.

But this is the 10th episode of DKA she has experienced in the past 13 years. She describes it ....like hitting a brick wall.

Hug your spouses tonight....and appreciate how lucky you are.

Then imagine being without them in your life. Then TELL them how you feel.

Life is short and unpredictable. Make sure you value those things in life that are most important.

Wow, there is a bit too much bad stuff going on. My best wishes for Kathy and condolences where needed for others as well. I am very thankful for another "good" year at our house, so no complaints. I did the same thing to the little car that I have done the past few years. Changed the oil, said "see you in the spring" and put the cover over it. I pushed it up closer to the work bench this year so I could park the tractor with new snow blade behind it.
Hang in there everyone.

Lunch Sunday?

Tim/Keith - I will be able to hook up with you at Syberg's tomorrow. See you at 1:30.

Rich - if the funk you're in is so bad that you can't get out...we may just have to pay you a personal visit! See if we can get you defunkified!!:D

Surprise!

My project just grew somewhat. Knew I had some hardwood floor that would require replacement. Didn't know that would extend to the subfloor also

Don't ya just love surprises

Hibernating

Mark,

I've sort of been hibernating. The truck is 98% done. I gave myself a passing grade (it runs and it looks better than when I started.) I've been a bit worn out last 6 weeks from this, work, and other issues.

I went down stairs to the coupe den garage to get something, and my heart started pounding again. So, I guess, I'm about ready to go.

It's kind of funny, some of the neighbor who are normally quiet have been asking about it. We'll get rolling in a bit.

Oh, yeah, the color changed again.
