On Saturday 3/24 we have a tour of the Dave Mungenast Museum scheduled for our GCC group. There is no charge but they do ask that you leave some sort of donation at the front. It is a very impressive collection of mostly classic motorcycles but also some cars. See the link below. If you have not been I think you will be very impressed! I've been wanting to get our group there for some time.

For anyone interested in attending, we will meet for breakfast at 9:00am at the IHOP in Sunset Hills. Address is 10893 Sunset Hills Plaza, STL 63127. Parking at the museum is limited to street parking so keep that in mind if you want to drive your roadster? My plan is to condense into 2-4 cars/trucks at IHOP and get to the museum around 10:15. There's enough to see that you'll want up to 2 hours to tour everything. After the museum, a stop at Ted Drewes is in order before returning back to IHOP. Should be a nice event!!

Good Job Mike, sounds great. I plan on attending with a biker buddy of mine. Will be there for breakfast. If the weather is decent, we will probably ride over.

Thanks for arranging Mike. I will be in Arkansas at my Niece's b-day party :D

Kerry, hopefully it works out that you can make it. You will be impressed with the museum's expansion!

Currently showing a high of 63 on Saturday so may have a choice of driving your roadster? As long as your OK with street parking only while at the museum. Kent was talking about riding over so should be a nice day for that!

Those that plan to do this, WHO WOULD BE DRIVING THEIR ROADSTER....? Let’s try and get a count...of possible drivers...I would like to drive...no fun as a single....and no fun in a daily driver either...
Only my thought...

Ian, if weather continues to look good I'll join you with the roadster!

Excellent sounds like a plan...fingers crossed for good weather....ok thanks Mike...WHO ELSE IS GAME.....?

Mike, yep looks like 90% Thunderstorms and Rain for Saturday...so that scrapes any thoughts of driving possibly...HOWEVER THE WEATHER CAN CHANGE ON A MOMENTS NOTICE HERE IN STL...so before I pull the plug shall wait and see, and thanks Kerry for the 411...SUCKS............

Mike,
I wanted to let you know I may not join you Saturday morning. Jorja has eye surgery on Thursday and I will have to wait and see how she’s doing Friday morning before heading over. Just FYI.

I understand Kent. Hope Jorja's surgery goes well tomorrow!

Looks like the weather forecast has improved slightly.

Early morning thunderstorms are predicted with 95% chance of rain between 3-5am...dropping to 70% by 9 am.
The afternoon should be cloudy but free of heavy rain.

I would offer a suggestion for lunch after the museum, before heading to Ted Drews...or to take home ribs for later:

Adams Smokehouse is a neat little quaint BBQ restaurant on Watson Rd with excellent food and a wealth of Cardinal / Blues memorabilia on display.
There is parking in the rear and it is only 3.5 miles from the museum.

Kathy and I highly recommend them. Lots of great reviews...

They were voted Best BBQ in St. Louis by RFT.

Kerry, thank you for the suggestion! I have not heard of Adams Smokehouse and always love a good BBQ place. We'll see what the group is up for as we finish the museum visit?

Looks ruff for driving Roadsters this Saturday...HIGH is 47....chilly at best....coupled with RAIN....so that sucks big time....looks like a pretty crappy day in general....just saying....being optimistic however and hoping for the best...it could change ?....48 hours will tell the story....

Wanted to remind those interested in attending the Dave Mungenast Museum that we will meet for breakfast at the IHOP off Watson around 9:00 tomorrow. Full address and map link are above. Weather is looking like a good day to be inside. Friends and family are welcome! For anyone who has not been I think you will be impressed!!

Would a reschedule to a better day later in the Spring be worth considering?
Weather is now looking considerably worse.
95-100% chance of rain all day now.
Given the weather, I think we will see the museum another time.

A better day would ensure more participation and allow those who can...to drive their cars.
Even going to Ted Drews will be a downer in the rain...

Now would be the time to decide...before reservations are made.
