Hi Guys,

I have Mark Dougherty coming in to help me on the Coupe for a couple days.

We will probably be putting in the engine and drivetrain, among other things.

You all are welcome to come by and chat, help, criticize :p, pick Mark's brain :D, or find my mistakes .

We will be working Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (Sept 20, 21 and 22). We usually start at 8 AM and finish up about 9 PM.

Get it out?

Bob
Have you studied getting the car out of your shop? Like building a boat in the basement :D

I'll try to stop by

Paul

Sounds like a good plan Bob!
I'm going to try to make it out Sunday, I'd like to see your car, check your progress, and meet Mark too!

What's the build goals for the weekend?

btw, how are you doing? going to join us at the picnic?

I'm at:

959 Century Oaks
Manchester, MO 63021

Hwy 141 and Big Bend Rd. Go east 3 blocks to Century Oaks. Turn North onto Century Oaks. 11th house on the left.

Paul: We're going to use a Big Shoe Horn and a Jack-Hammer to get it out of the basement.

Bob

I will be headed to Eureka Springs, so won't be able to. :( Good luck herding the cats Bob :D

I was at Bob's with Keith & Rich for awhile, then ran home to grab a die set and some seats for Bob to try out.
Met Mark Dougherty and helped for a little while.
Cool build Bob!

I went by today and spent some time talking and turning wrenches. I took Mark for a spin in the Daytona which we both enjoyed. He gave me some very good advice in a very short time. I am very glad that I got to meet him finally.

Bob's build is coming along nicely and it looks like he should be go-karting shortly. I had to leave prior to the start unfortunately though. It sure was nice working on a nice new clean car with all new parts. I had almost forgotten what that was like.

Mark and I after our ride:

Mark is an incredible wealth of knowledge and knows these FFRs inside & out, nice guy too (although Bob may consider him a Task Master!)
Really enjoyed visiting with him. Thanks for the opportunity Bob.

Mike, any tips from Mark that may spill over to the roadsters?

Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day, might meet you over there (if i can talk my way out of finishing painting the bathroom!).
What time?
Is Mark still there?

As far as I know Mark is still there. I should be able to leave my house by 5:00 maybe earlier

Rick

Couldn't see the car for all the Smiles in the way

Congratulations - one step closer to Go Karting
