Sent out some messages on this. A young man in Washington is drying of a rare cancer and his wish is to be escorted to his final resting place by Hotrods, Muscle cars and Sports cars. I thought this is something we could do. I know the weather is not good but he and his family have been thur a lot more. You can check out his mom's Facebook Jen Ingram.
What do you think.

Rick, barring bad weather, I'm IN.
This is extremely said for a 14 year old boy and it breaks my heart. Can't imagine what his parents are going thru.

Prayers for him & his family.

Keep us updated. Like Mark, if the weather isn't terrible I can be there.

I've been following this on Facebook and there was some controversy that the family wanted this or not. They didn't want a parade at their house, so wasn't sure if they wanted attendance or not as it would be a distraction.

Whatever may be decided and weather is favorable...I’m IN... yes good idea to confer with the parents of this young man...

There is a Facebook page that has more information on doing this (Sports Car for Alec). The guys that runs Mis-Fit-Toys is trying to coordinate everything. They will post when and where to meet, maps of routes and times. Anybody with Facebook can join the group Sports Cars for Alec and watch the video they have posted and all the people that want to do this, and a lot of people want to do this for Alec around 4500.
I'll keep us up to date as things happen. His mother that Alec is still fighting, could to two days or two weeks only God know.

This is off the Facebook page.EDIT! Ryan DeClue will make a video explaining all of this as he gets time. Thank you for your patience.

Who is allowed to be in this escort? What types of cars?

I keep getting asked this question, so for ONE LAST TIME, I am going to answer it.

At the FAMILY's ReQUEST, Sports Cars & Super Cars will be in the FRONT of the procession. Actually there is one type of Supercar that will be the very first car, and then the super cars & sports cars will proceed after that. THEN, at the end of the procession, AFTER the family/friends have left the church, following them will be any trucks, jeeps, motorcycles, etc. (ANYTHING THAT IS NOT A SUPER CAR OR SPORTS CAR)

The family has said that ANYONE who would like to pay respects to Alec and his family in this procession will be welcome, BUT will follow the protocol that we are organizing.

We are also asing anyone who wishes, who WON'T be in the procession, to make signs and stand on the procession route and hold those signs of support for the family to see.

Thank you for READING this.

The staging area for the possession is going to be Six Flags in Eureka starting at 8:30 hoping to leave at 10:30 going to Washington. Taking 44 to 100 to Washington. I'll get the rest of the route and post.

I talked to Ryan and Craig. They are expecting upwards of 5,000 cars for this. Just fyi.
