Attended this yesterday. About 75 cars I guess. The first thing I noticed was there were only 5 classes. I had to enter class 1, Custom Hot Rod. As I walked about, I saw a stock production '56 chevy in my class, a '29 Ford with a supercharged Ford SB, a bone stock '55 chevy, and a '56 with a corvette engine in it. After I saw this, it got me to thinking. What is the definition of a Custom Hot Rod. Obviously my definition of a modified stock production vehicle, or custom design/built car with many aftermarket parts, modified suspension, and engine is wrong. Now, as we've all said, the trophies don't matter, but anyone that enters a show I think should expect the playing field to be level. The '29 Ford should have won the class, no doubt, but the '56 with a corvette engine did. From the outside, the car appeared bone stock. The show benefitted an upcoming mission trip this particular church is taking, so that was good. I ended up driving through a little rain getting there, but that was it for the day. Here are some pics from the show.

Had a lot of compliments on my car, mainly color, and a lot of questions. I think I sold three cars and turned down one trade. :D Two guys are in the same boat as Mark and Chuck, going to build in the next year or so. One guy was thinking Superformance, but I think I swayed him away from that SCOF group, didn't want him to drown when it rained.:D He didn't think the F5R had much leg room, so I let him sit in it and changed his mind. Many questions on "did I build it?". I finally said "no, bought it assembled, disassembled it and put it back together, so I almost built it" :D
