2020 Float Trip

Working on getting a float trip together for this year. This is just a day trip. You should be home around dinner time or so. Last year we went to Huzzah Valley. Thinking about trying Blue Springs Ranch this year. I hear good things about them. It's about 25 minutes closer and a couple bucks cheaper. Not much to choose from to eat afterwards though. Open for recommendations. The float is only 5 miles. We will have plenty of time to stop and swim, eat lunch, etc.

Single Kayak $32
Double Kayak $50
Canoe $45 for 2 people, $15 for 3rd Adult. Under 12 free.
4 Man raft $102 for 3 people or less and $136 for 4 people.

We like the single Kayaks but your free to choose whatever you like. The rafts tend to drag more in the real shallow spots.

We will need to make reservations about 2 weeks out.

August 30th or September 13th are looking like the best days for me. Vote on the poll for what day works for you.
 
Looks like the kids and me are in for either dates. Or the whole family is in for September 13. :confused:
 
You’re damn lucky to have us...glad to infuse some good healthy humor , prior to our arrival.... GCC description was “Ho-Hum”...as I was told...no worries you’ll have Taylor as my back up....
 
Just bringing this to the top. The poll is basically tied. Because Theresa voted on the 30th only when we can go either day. If you are interested in going please vote.

To the few, clarifying this will help Tony pick a date.

Tony & Theresa: Did I understand correctly that Theresa is in for either weekend, she just voted for the 30th?

Mark & Ann: Only available on the 30th or are you good for both weekends, prefering the 30th?

Kent: Available both but prefering the 13th or not available on the 30th? Is Jorja included?

Mike: Available both but prefering the 13th or not available on the 30th? Is Nancy included?

Correct. You will be responsible to make your own reservation. I will pick a date and post contact info and more details tonight. Looks like it will be Sept 13th.

We offer a military and first respond discount of 10% OFF (MUST provide ID)

We are doing the 5 mile float with the shuttle departing at 10:00am. You will need to be there no later than 9:30 to get checked in.
You will need to make your own reservation. You can call or do it online. FYI here is their rain policy. " If it is raining at our Resort through 12:00 pm on the day of your float, we will issue a rain-check for the floating portion of your reservation."

Things to bring:
Water / adult beverages
Lunch and snacks
Sunscreen
Water shoes
Bungie cords to strap down cooler etc.
Towel and dry clothes for the ride home.

If you all want we can find a place to eat or get ice-cream afterwards.

I wanted to go this year, but we've had a prior commitment for that weekend since June. Becauseof Covid I thought the event had been cancelled, but it's still on. Hope you all have good weather and take some good pics. Enjoy!
