2012 GCC Track Schedule

Believe it or not, the rest of the year is filling up fast (for me) with events, family get togethers and travel plans. And, so are the track days. The one I am for SURE going to is RunNGun 10/19 - 10/21. I want to do at least one between now and then, and below are the options:

10/10ths at Putnam 7/28 - 29 and 10/12 - 10/14

MVP Tracktime at Autobahn in Joliet (too bad it's on a Monday) 8/6

KYPCA at Putnam 9/14 - 9/16

So, for me, Putnam this weekend or MAYbe Autobahn 8/6. Too much going on mid-September, which, works better for me, so the Salem thing may have to be dropped for me as I'm not ready for Putnam this weekend, well, I may be. Any thoughts from the track folks?

I'm definitely doing the September date. See my post under the Road Course area of the forum under - Cruise / Putnam Park 9-12 thru 9-16

Man, I'm kind of in a pickle. The mid september date I can't do due to the Salem event with MACC. The mid October I can't do due to RnG. This weekend looks really good in Greencastle with highs in the mid to upper 80's and lows in the 60s. Thinking of going on Sunday only and staying the whole day. Dean is headed on vacation to Colorado, so he can't go, but the mid September he said sounded good. Plus, Mike Bernard, wants to run his racecar at Putnam.....I'm torn....As Steve always said, it's more fun with others there.

Guilted Mark in to going, so he and I are headed over Friday. Anyone want to ride along?

We have a wedding to attend on Friday in Indianapolis. So let's see, I trailer the Lotus to Cloverdale, leave the trailer in the Holiday Inn parking lot, attend the wedding, visit with my brother on Saturday, spend Saturday night in Cloverdale, run the track on Sunday.

Now the hard part - how to convince Pam that this is a good idea.

You're making use of your trailer and your car while having fun which in turn makes you happy....make Daddy happy, she will eventually happy :-D My reservations made at Holiday Inn Express for Friday/Saturday night.

My plans have changed so it looks like I'm going to be there this weekend. I won't be able to leave until Saturday morning. Hopefully in time to run the 11:30 session. I have my reservation at the Holiday Inn Express. I'm not going to trailer. Just going to drive over.

Wow - I don't know how you pulled that off - I don't want to know.:D

Actually the way it happened sucks. A friend of mine's mom passed away Tuesday night. The funeral conflicted with the wedding and the funeral was a priority. So instead of going to Indy on Firday we're staying in town. Thus freeing the weekend up.

Another great weekend at the track with Mark and Tim. The weather was almost perfect and there was plenty of track time.

Both of those guys kicked some lap time butt. My best day was the first day. By the time Sunday rolled around my tires were pretty greasy, which led me to bailing out after the third session. Hopefully the rest of the day went well for the boys.

What a great weekend. What a blast. Tim made his 1:25 goal, and I made 1:26 - (my goal, just to stay close to Tim). 10/10ths ran a great event. We had more track time than we could handle. The run sessions were 30 minutes each. That's a long time pounding these cars and they cars held up fantastic. Tim solved a little overheating issue with a timing adjustment, and I worked on my carb a little bit more. I think we'll both end up at Omer's soon to tweek our tunes just a bit.

The fun was beyond belief once again.
