Snakey Guy has done this one & he likes it. And that speaks volumes to me. Great guy. Knows how to & loves to have a good time.

Me and some of my Corvette guys are going to do at least Springfield to DuQuoin. You guys should join us!

Sooo, what time in the morning does it usually depart? Just wondering if I would need to go the night before or would have time to drive up the morning of.

I think it would be fun to go up the night before. It would be a great Sunday drive and it would be fun to see all the hotrods around the hotel.

I do the LongHaul Gang thing....start to finish. Anyone can pick it up any given point. The drivers meeting is usually at 8:00 am. You do not have to attend but it is informative.
Each day consists of approx 200-300 miles. Arrive at daily venue midafternoon and visit the vendor area and see thousands upon thousands of cars and meet some of the nicest people on earth.
There will events along the way but you don't really know until that day.
2 years ago it was a stop at MidAmerica Corvette for lunch in Effingham.
I am guessing this year at Bowling Green we will tour the Vette musuem.
Last year we had drag races at US 30/Wisc and Bristol.
There are autocross at some locations.
It is really a great week. Last year I drove approx 3,000 miles.
This year will be longer due to starting point and ending point.
But it is one of the 101 things you need to do in your life time.Part of my bucket list.

By the way...it is not always this close to us. Just so happens Springfield has been on the agenda twice in the past 4 years.
