Nope 7 AM for us. 7:45 for the group in IL! You'd be late. Looks like I'll be flying solo as well. Ash has a soccer game, but i'm not missing another one. Please none of the four letter R word.

This is stilll scheduled for 10/31 isn't it. Tim sent me a note about this and I thought it was this weekend but I hope thats not the case. I might be legal by the 31st!

Oh, I'll be at the Rams game. My daughter's high school band is performing at half time. I dont want to miss that.

Not driving in circles anymore, just trying to find time to drive :mad:. Every stinkin' weekend is spent at the rink...but its great quality time with my son. Now if I just could figure out a way to fit all the hockey gear in the car, I could have been done with the break-in period already. Any such thing as a cobra trailer???
 
Illinois is very liberal with the dealer plates. I always see so many of them. Carry some paper work with you to prove that the car really belongs to you and an insurance card. If you get pulled over, they'll probably just send you home - unless you try to get away.:D
 
I agree Deano. I would chance it & do it. Chances are slim that you'll be pulled over & even if ya are I know an IL lawyer who will represent ya for free. :D Keith is a great guy & puts on a great cruise. Wish I could do it but Ter & I will be in FL. :(

If you go in (East) on Gravois, there is all kinds of parking areas at the old Sunset Ford site. It is about 1/4 mile east on Gravois from the 270 intersection

And there's a gas station at the intersection of Gravois and Lindbergh.

There's a Park & Ride lot at the southwest corner of Gravois at Hwy 270. I think it's still there.

Can we re-think the start time. I had planned for this to be a family outing and don't want to drive alone. 7AM at this time of year isn't the best cruising weather.

If the 7AM start time is firm, we'll probably not participate

8AM will work for the Missouri side. Any earlier, I vote NO

Unlikely you're going to get Dean from Centralia to Columbia by 7:45am. He'd have to be on the road by 5:30

Suggestion - just make the meet up time 9am in Columbia Illinois. I don't need a parade to cross the river.
 
9 am would be much easier for sure! It will definately be chilly that early in the morning.

The earlier start time was meant to accomodate an earlier conclusion and still allow us adequate time at relatively safe and sane speeds to complete the itinerary. A single meet and greet in Columbia, Illinois would be fine.

This is not going to be a snaky road run. Illinois is NOT a conceal carry jurisdiction. Half of the FCR is in Illinois. We will be eating a light lunch in Missouri in ordinary surroundings. The contest will be held at our lunch stop. PARTICIPATION in the costume contest is voluntary. Those who participate will be eligible for three ballots to vote for "best of" categories. Non costume contest particpants will receive one ballot and 40 / 30 / 30 ticket purchasers will receive an additional one ballot for every 5 tickets purchased. There will be some surprises, and there will be some prizes!

Whether or not you dress up, your participation in the 40 / 30 / 30 helps fund the prizes in the form of the club share (40%) after the two 30% winners are drawn. The rest of it goes to the club treasury.

Having offered that up - can we meet and greet at 8:30 at the Sonic? Depart about 9.

The route is already in the GPS. I guess all I can tell you is . . .
