Isn't April 4-7 the same date as San Marcos? Texas Cobra Club meet

Yes, we will be celebrating #26 in San Marcos :-). Yes, she is ok with this as the margarita's are that good :D

Gentlemen:

I received an email from MVP Track Time last week indicating that their event at Putnam on April 13th and 14th had been canceled. Based on my discussion with Mark Pfeffer I doubt if they will be holding any more events at Putnam.

Looking at Putnam’s web site, 10/10ths is holding events there April 6th – 7th and May 4th - 5th. I haven’t made a decision on which one I want to sign up for. The first weekend in April is a little early weather wise but I don’t really want to wait until May to try out all the upgrades that I'm having done this winter.

If anyone thinks they want to run either of these events let me know.

Steve

I will be in Texas for the April event. May is possible for me. I'm assuming Putnam raised the prices now that they have the Country Club thing there. Sad, it will run a lot of events off. I would expect 10/10ths to cancel next.

I just emailed Bill Neal at 10/10ths to see what he has to say about it.

Gentlemen:

I have an email distribution list with all of my friends that are track rats. Both drivers and spectators. Mark and Tim are on the list (and I'm sure on others :D).

This is my version of Twitter where I let everyone know what events I've signed up for. If anyone wants to be included on the list just give me your email and I'll add you.

Steve
PS: I've signed up for 4/6 - 7 and 5/4 - 5 for Putnam with 10/10ths Motorsports

I'm hoping to sign u for the 5/4 and 5/5 dates at Putnam. Will be in San Marcos for the other dates.

Steve, have you signed up for the 5/4 and 5/5 dates yet?

Advanced group eh? Don't think I'm ready for advanced group. Guess I'll let you teach me.

A beautiful day here at Putnam. I arrived about 11 am and started prepping the car. This is more complicated now that I'm running slicks. I need to make a lot more money so I can afford a pit crew. :p

My first session was at 1:15 so the track was warmed up and in great shape. This is the first time I've run on slicks so I took it easy the first session (running in the intermediate group). The extra power from the winter modifications really worked out well. Previously I was having to shift a lot to stay in the power band. Now I can run 90% of the track in 4th, getting into 5th on the main straight and only having to go down to 3rd in one turn. The remaining two sessions I picked the pace up considerably. The slicks never felt like they were going to come loose. I only gave two point bys in three sessions. One to a Corvette and the other to a BMW M3 that was frigging flying.

Hopefully tomorrow goes even better.

Steve

Steve, see post above, this is where I got your time of 1:15....So 1:15 or 1:23? Great laps either way.

Steve where is the video?????

Mike:

Go to http://75.130.11.179/pics/Putnam_20130407/.

There are two different formats for Lap 11 where I'm passing a Mustang on the straight. Lap 20 is where the spin occurs. 50 seconds into the clip is a good place to start.

The .rtf document shows the information my track software captures.

PS: I don't do youtube, facebook, twitter, etc. :p

If you're trying to protect your privacy by putting on your own server, well, it's on the interwebs and Al Gore has access to it :p :D
