It was nice meeting you last night Scot. Great car btw and like you said, it's what you wanted. So much of these cars are personal choices. Welcome to the madness of Cobra ownership!
I tell everyone that FFR gave us a canvas for us to show the world our interpretation of these cars. My favorite colors are blue and orange, and no I'm neither a Florida Gators nor a Broncos fan. I just like the colors. One thing I did that really helped me was I built a large scale model of a...
I got to agree. Passenger can make a big difference. Supercruise I consider that out the window, which is why I don't try to take Shelley. Days like that I just go until we're done.
Yeah I was paying over that for gallon and then there is the clear, hardener, etc. I bet I was at least 5k for paint supplies alone. Love the job and I got to help with some of it, but for quality work, it's expensive.
How much is all of that and you are still going to use the PBR brakes? Put good Bear or Wilwood brakes on in and call it done. They will stop you. But to each their own. I look at these cars as a canvas and you can paint you're own picture any way you want. Just listing options.
There are a couple in the area. I had a friend paint mine, but he says he won't do another. I know Rich had Jeff Kleiner do his. There's a guy in Washington and I think a guy named Mike?
I think each event is a little different. The novice group was smaller this time. I judge that by the people in the class time. I'm not sure about the others groups but in general I thought there were fewer people there than in June for all attending
There are plenty of people there as old or older than you. You just drive to your comfort level. With 10/10ths you'd start in the novice group and build your experience. I love the course. It's got hills, both positive and negative camber curves, but not really anywhere to seriously hurt...
Thanks. I'm trying. I was still driving the course last night in my sleep. It's funny, once you're on the right line and hitting your brake and shift points you relax, but after you've been hitting them and start to miss, then you immediately know it. I guess I need to slow down for a few...
Yeah I'm 90% sure it was the plug I made so that my dash is removab;e. All the guages go through a 27 pin connector and some of those connections are failing inside the plug new Deutsch works plugs on order for this build season.
Well I went to Putnam again this weekend. It was a mixed bag for me. I was paired with an instructor again. He was nice and very knowledgeable, but he pushed me. He said I'm getting tunnel vision when I'm stressed and not using all of the track. He also said I'm too concerned about the...
Winter is build season, so time to fix modify anything that has caught you eye. I'm redoing the wiring for my Guage cluster to fix some issues I've had with the 27 pin connector. Going to give is a thorough cleaning front to back a d maybe work in the side pipe issue again. Always something...
