    2024 SuperCruise

We broke tradition this year and moved the centerpoint from Harrison, AR to Russellville, AR. This afforded us a number of new roads. To many people, change is avoided at all costs. In this case, change is a good thing. The experience surpassed some of the best times in our old haunt. I can't...

    Rear end, update or swap?

Tony, You need to take into consideration your transmission output and ratios. Some have a pretty big change between 4th and 5th. Most are happy with the 3.55 but there are a lot of variables to select the best option

2026 Calendar Photo Submissions - It's not too early and yes, the year is correct

Pictures placed on the forum CANNOT be used for the calendar. They are reduced in size when uploaded. Please go to the Calendar submission folder and upload there. If using an iPhone, make sure you upload the original photo. iPhones tend to reduce images to save space. This is the upload...

    Welcome Jon Nelle

Jon, good to hear from you - hope you can make it out to the meeting. Reading your spec's, sounds interesting - but I would rethink the gearing. You'll find these cars don't do well with high-ratio rear ends. RPM is too high for cruising and you don't have enough traction in the lower gears to...

Wiring - You can do better

I've seen a number of member's cars this year, and it appears wiring is a common issue/problem. When this article popped up, I had to give it a permanent home on our website. Not naming names, you know who you are Wiring - You can do better than this

How to transform a rat’s nest of wiring into an orderly harness

Photography by Carl Heideman In the hierarchy of automotive dreads, rust repair and wiring rank near the top for most people. Rust repair we get, but wiring doesn’t have to be a nightmare. After all, a wire just goes from one place to another. How hard can that be? The problem is there’s always...

    GCC Annual Picnic 9/28

Guess I should have made the edit on Ian's post a little clearer. I did make the change to include John Reusch +1 on the poll

To my knowledge, no one has registered nor has the club registered as a group. Is it too late? Kent, do you have any inside contacts?

    Tech Articles on GCC

If you are not aware, there are many tech articles in the Library., 25 at the current count. Everything from showing, cruising, track days, building and maintenance. I just added a chart covering how to diagnose engine issues using a vacuum gauge. Sometimes, old school methods can really be a...

    Vacuum Gauge Tuning & Diagnosis

Years ago, a good friend introduced me to using a vacuum gauge to diagnose engine problems, in-fact it was often the first tool he would reach for when confronted with a poorly running engine. I’ll admit to being a little skeptical at first, but over the years I have become convinced that engine...

    Battery / alternator problem

The handheld should be reporting the same voltage as the system. It would report around 14 with the engine running. 12.6 would be a typical reading with the engine off.
