Didn't take pictures, but one:
Day started great with a few of us stopping for Donuts at Dunkin' Donuts before heading out. We ran down through Eureka where a certain Red Corvette joined us before heading on down to Hillsboro, Desoto, Bonne Terre, and meeting Randy in Potosi for lunch. It became apparent we needed to head North quickly to stay dry. Our Hwy 185 drive was slowed by, of course, a Harley (hate them almost as much as a bicyle on a narrow road). So, we turned off at Hwy K to ditch the Harley and have some fun! When we stopped in St Clair, we knew we needed to get on the interstate and make tracks to stay ahead of the storms. Which we did, but, Rich and I got drenched in Chesterfield. Nothing to do but keep driving, but, we did duck in to a gas station until the rain stopped. Drove on home, and setup fans. Will probably be Tuesday before the interior is dried, but, all's good, it's just water.
The reason for the drive? I needed some break in miles on the engine after getting my car back from the shop. Car ran great with some hiccups in the upper RPM range, which, may have been my rusty shifting skills. On the plus side, got nearly 15 mpg due to a leaner tune which, also cured my "dieseling"/run on problem. So, very happy with the results from Franjo!
Great ride with Paul, Rich, Bob and Mark with a short drive including Keith. Thanks for being my escorts guys in case of problems
