It's the dead of Winter, too cold to cruise, BUT it's supposed to be 50 - 60 degrees this weekend.
I know there are several builds going on (Tony, Rich, Taylor, any others?) Peter where does yours stand?

So I was just wondering what Winter Projects / Mods are planned?

Since having the BEST Cobra Minds over last weekend (Thanks again Dan, Paul, Time, & Rich), we thoroughly diagnosed my potential engine issue, and after careful analysis, I am VERY Happy (and embarrassed) to report, NO ISSUES.
Best we can figure out, since the engine sat for so long after Super-Cruise and I replaced the Harmonic Balancer, it was probably the oil had drained from the Rockers and when I first started it, they were knocking loudly. I panicked and turned the engine off to avoid any further perceived damage and didn't give the oil time to flow and warm-up. I am embarrassed, but couldn't be happier that a rebuild is not required!
(but don't tell Ann, new parts are coming! She doesn't know that a new Breeze Upper Radiator Tube Kit, new tires, and New Cup Holders won't fix it!)

My winter mods are some things I've been wanting to do, some from last year I didn't get around to, and a couple maintenance items:
  • New Upper & Lower Breeze radiator hoses
  • replace rear tires
  • Install upgraded LED tail-light bulbs
  • some interior items: larger cup holders, fix my Starter button light, adjust e-brake, new seat foam, repair seat heaters, modify shifter boot leather for better seal, drill drain holes in seats
  • replace PS fluid with Honda PS fluid
  • replace belt
  • Install Steering rack limiters
  • finish Amp/stereo install
  • install new Canton oil pan

I've already got the seats out and tranny cover removed. I can start crossing some repair items off of the list. Will address some more this weekend!

I was going to start removing my components so that I could remove the body and do wiring, but Shelley and I talked and she asked me to hold off for a year. Everything is working, I was just going to do clean up. The only upgrade I'll be doing is adding another relay or re-tasking an existing one so that the ECU can turn on the fan instead of the probe in the front. That will give me more consistency on my cooling. Past that is just cleaning top and bottom and polishing it. I know, it's so weird for me not to tear it apart. Let me know if you need any help with yours. I'm now available.:)

Hey Dan, what you need to work on is clearing your schedule and getting Shelly to join us! Let me know how I can help you!

Ann asked if we can schedule more cruises on Sunday (she's typically off, or easier to ask off). So I'm going to work on planning a couple, maybe to Hermann or a wine cruise some Sunday.

Glad to hear your engine issue was non-existent.
I was planning on finishing wiring, getting the front of the motor finished, and drilling the valve covers this winter… but I haven't done any of that. Now my winter project is hanging the body from the ceiling to make room for my dad's 62 Rambler Classic.

Just finished my dash. Need to come up with a plan to start wiring the car. Buying more parts as I wait for the motor to be completed.
