Where's Timbo/PV?

Couple of Big Block Facts:

Archeologists unearthed an old english dictionary dating back to the year 1236. It defined "victim" as "one who has encountered a Big Block next to him at a stop light"

If you Google search "Big Block getting beat" you will generate "zero results". There is no such thing.

Careful Mark....

There may be a "small block" in your future....in gestation as we speak... that will cause you to rethink....and regret such misguided bravado....:D

It seems the "Big Block" contingent likes to draw on historical persepectives....so here is one to contemplate that is 10 years old....!

A 281 cu in, 18,000 mile, used "small block" with stock pistons, rods and crankshaft, using a lowly, nearly stock automatic transmission, in a car that weighs 500-800 lbs MORE than a Cobra....running 9.60's at 140 MPH in the quarter. The car even has power windows...!
And that was 9.60's @ 140 MPH.....10 YEARS ago....!

The technology for these "small blocks" has improved exponentially in the last 10 years.

700+ RWHP street Mustangs are now almost blaise....

I was in a Dyno Service shop yesterday where six late model Mustangs were in the bays. ALL had made over 640 RWHP on the Dynojet chassis dyno. One had run 9.03 @152 mph in the quarter.....and....ALL were "small blocks."

Food for thought.....

HOWEVER, I think as far as I know the fastest car in the club is Mark's Big Block with a recorded 1/4 mile time faster than ANY small block in the club. It seems everyone, with the exception of Steve, that has a small block is afraid to record a time in the 1/4 mile. Hmmmmmm, fraid you might break somethin? Big block guys aren't afraid :)

uhm.. Check with Dave Williams. Small Block ran I believe in the low 9's and he's in the club.
Of course you can ask him at the next meeting, since it will be at his place.

Back on Topic though, How was the duck shoot? Anything like the video game? How many were shot and how many did you actually shoot?

Yeah, kinda forgot about Dave's car  hunt was ok, not great. We harvested 43, of which I may have gotten 6 or 7. Couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Will post some video after I get it edited. Going back in a couple of weeks, maybe do better then. Too much water in Arkansas. Here's a pic of the camp we normally hunt at

Ah...yes....The "Big Block Contingent" selective memory loss syndrome.

That's only because you first need to make enough power to break something....:D

Dave's car ran a 9.75. Pretty good. He's got a 300 shot of NOS, full race rearend, 435 gears or something, and full slicks. He's got that little sewing machine all gussied up:D:D:D:D

Big Block Fact #35:
When Big Block owners send in their speeding tickets, they send in a blank form with a photo of their Big Block motor. The police understand and thank the owner they at least slowed down and stopped so the officer would not loose his job.

Ask me how I know:D

Big Block Fact # 42:
A Big Block car can pass by you SO FAST that he can actually alter your DNA. Decades from now your descendants will occasionally clutch their hands and all of a sudden yell "What The F#%k was That?"

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Ya know Kerry I think these big block guys have an inferiority complex because of other certain inadequacies in their lives  & they compensate for it by at least have something big to brag about! :D:p:rolleyes:
