Some time ago, Ian (Gracie) gave me a sample of a product called WheelWax. It coats the rims so brake dust doesn't stick. I am here to say this stuff is great.

I run a softer Wilwood brake pad compound that dusts pretty easily. Normally I have to clean my wheels almost weekly. I put this stuff on about a month ago and don't have an issue anymore. They recommend recoating occasionally, which I did today, and there was only light dust which easily wiped off. No wheel cleaner, no water, no messy clean-up.

Thanks for posting Paul. My Porsche wheels are a real pain to clean so I’m definitely getting some of this.

Yes indeed… shines and protects easy on off just put it on and wipe off immediately… sun glasses could be needed!👀
 
Looks like the company went out of business in 2022. I would guess they either got bought out or were shut down because they were infringing on someone else. Maybe Ian can learn from his source what they are using now

Searching on Google, Poorboys Wheel Sealant seems to be the alternative. I see a lot of guys who said they preferred this over the Wheelwax. Both are sealants. Wheelwax had a little polish in it (slightly abrasive) while Poorboys does not. You'll need to shine your wheels real good before using it.
