Sure has been quiet out there lately.
I got my car out of the shop again today.
I had a fuel leak aroud the new fuel log fitting.
They adjusted my idle a bit - the car was running on after shut off.
While there - I had my rear shocks adjusted up 1 inch to the proper ride height.

On the way home - I stopped for gas - and there was my daughter and her friend in the Solstice. Then all of as sudden, the owner of the station comes running out and says - you know there's a place in Ohio that can put a 427 in that (pointing at my daughters car). We talked for a minute about it and the Cobra - when he tells me he is the original owner of a 1968 Mustang Shelby GT500 - Black with auto trans. OMG. I gave him a card, and invited him to the RNG show.

Anyway great day today.

Wake up out there fellas - Wall Street can't take away your Cobra!

You said it. I did got the question today "Wow what year is your vette?".

OH YEAH almost forgot-I found another cobra owner down here. The only problem though is he has a Chebby in it:eek:

I've had that a few times too. Once you explain that it's not a Vette - but a Cobra - and then you patiently explain what a Cobra was - and you explain what a Cobra is worth - then you have to start explaining what a replica Cobra is. Always interesting - and usually ends with - what a beautiful car.

Ouch. For the first question I just said '65. Guy said "Yep thought so, its beautiful." I didn't have the heart to tell him any different.

Hey now, let's not be prejudice. It's still a cobra and there are Chevy lovers out there too. :D You know Chevy was Shelby's first choice, but they couldn't close the deal.
;)

I did know that - GM was trying to prop up it's own sports car - what was that thing called - I forget.
