I need to vent. It's been a long week already for me. Last Thursday I found out that one of the Factory Five forum members that I had befriended had suddenly passed away at the age of 70. I had never met Bill Droullard in person, but we had so much in common even though our age was miles apart. Small world. Bill, hope you are having fun driving that highway in the sky man! May your cobra on earth go to a good home.

On Monday, I was informed that a colleague of mine, Craig March, the construction superintendant who built the new Troop C, suddenly passed away from a heart attack on Sunday, at age 48. I was standing shoulder to shoulder with Craig not more than 3 weeks ago at the ribbon cutting ceremony when this new facility opened. I just got back from his funeral tonight. He was way too young to check out of this life.

Damn.

Life is precious/Life is fleeting

But for the grace of God there go I. That is why I believe the four "Fs" are the most important things in life. Friends, Family, Faith & Fun. If you love yourself more than you love others you will die a bitter lonely death. Therefore you must love others as much as you love yourself. You must also love God with all your heart, mind, soul & strength. Love is by far the single most important word in the english language. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. If I do not have love I am nothing.

First and foremost, sorry for your loss with friends so close. I have to say though use it as an opportunity to do an inventory of your own life. I was the pall bearer for a close friend our senior year in HS. Each time something happens like this be sure to remember the things that are imporant to you and the things that you have been blessed with. Family, kids, friends, etc. Life is too short....enjoy it!

Thanks Guys. I really feel for the families of these guys right now. Especially Craig. He had a lot of life left in him, and was such a good guy.

It does make you think about the four F's. Glad to have such a supportive and wonderful family myself, and you all as Friends.

Makes me really want to get things in order at home, just in case...

Hang in there

We'll pray for their families. If you need something give a call and the troops will come running.
