Well I posted what I'm going to be doing this winter. What are the rest of you going to do? Mark (MPTech), did you get to order your kit? Are there any other builds or upgrades going on? Not that all the political discussion isn't great, but I would like to hear something else about our cars.

Mark, are you going to add any more chrome for a couple of more HP? Anyone doing a Chevy LS powerplant in their Cobras?

Well... I've done absolutely nothing since replacing my fuel pump relay after the last cruise and my plans are to do nothing but dust it off every now and then till it's warm enough to put a fresh coat of wax on it for the spring re-awakening. I wouldn't even have to dust it if I would put the cover on but I still enjoy pulling in every evening and seeing it so much that I can't make myself cover it up. After all of the engine troubles in 09 I'm hoping that 2010 will simply be a drive and enjoy year. I did roll it out of the way last week to get the snow shovels out of the garage attic so at least it's moved a few feet :D.

Fun stuff -
New QA1 shocks and 450lb springs on all four corners.
Wilwood big brake kit on the front.
Kirkey race seat.
Front drive shaft hoop.

Not so fun stuff -
New windshield
Accusump valve replaced
Expired harnesses replaced

Now just waiting for some decent weather so the mechanic can test the brakes and suspension.

Yep - my list is growing for 2010.

1) Replace intake manifold gasket

2) New shielded plug wires

3) Get my in car video camera system working

4) Install oil thermostat and plumbing

5) New Rear Tires

6) Chase a rattle in passenger side pipe

7) Dyno re-set tune

8) Polish and remove stubborn water spots from valve covers, intake, and the front spoiler

9) Install Superformance upgraded Sway Bars

10) Hope not to find anymore problems

11) Learn how to drive around corners / steer with the rear wheels

12) Get in to the 10s at Muncie !

Yeah, I plan on some new rear tread too. The big additions for me is the intercooler. Like Tom said, after last year's engine problems, I just want to be able to drive it. The intercooler is primarily to cool the charge so I don't waste my rings again. I know that's why I put in the forged pistons, but why take chances. going to Omers around the first of march for a retune with everything I added last fall and winter and then its a summer of cruising and enjoying time with family and friends. I don't know about Muncie yet. I'm afraid I don't want any more breakage.

Edit: Forgot with Steve's post it reminded me, I have to put on the driveshaft loop I bought.;)

I'm using Koni's with a 500 lb front spring rate and 750 lb rear spring rate on the IRS...
Both rates are recommended by F5 based on Koni's computer analysis for a IRS roadster.

However the recommended spring rate for a solid axle car are 350 lb.

Does anyone else hear the wheels grinding in Kerry's head. Hmm.. His HP is x, Car weighs y with him in it, he did 11.3 on street tires, etc. Kerry will have a 300 to 400 pound advantage on front nose weight. Hmm. I see a nice little match at gateway in the future.

I'm still stuck on "back from Arkansas". Doesn't somebody in Ar build a 427 sbf?
Keep in mind my age....I could be dreaming at this point....or halucinating

He said it wasn't an engine. I'm thinking twin turbo charger kit with intercooler. Or something with initals KB for a forged modular. But hey, I'm just guessing likethe others.

Kathy and I returned from Arkansas late last night....and no....it was not an engine.

K&K

No engine......:D

Besides....this is better....and no...it's not making any noise in the box.
But... ultimately it will have a very distinctive sound....

....A 427 SBF would still have pushrods.... Our engine has been a 4V Modular from the beginning.

Hint: The manufacturer has had a long historical relationship with Ford, Mustang, Carroll Shelby and Cobra going back to the 60's....but not in it's present configuration, which didn't hit the market until 1995. There is even a connection to Bill Cosby....:D

(TomK and MikeW are disqualified from providing any hints.)

Bull's getting warm....

Kenne Bell Stage 2.8 Mammoth Twin Screw Supercharger kit as on Shelby GT 500

Produces Ridiculous power from a modular engine if it's built right from the ground up. Capable of up 23 Lbs of boost?
