You mean a-holes? I dont think sales have started yet, and I very rarely go there myself. I think its good looking, but like Kerry I was hoping for a nice top for 4 season driving.

Nope, not for me......guess I will let it out of the bag.....this will be added to the stable soon
http://specracer.com Next spring maybe. May 4-5 could be the last track time Purple Venom (the car) sees. :(

You are aware that it is smaller than a small block. :D

600cc or 1200cc?

Building or buying a turn key?

I think those are the coolest classes in scca racing and if I were getting into the race scene that is where I would be.

Engine?

Don't know if they allow engine mod's. You need to know about Esslinger

Really disappointed in the new 818. The racer version looks great, but the street version looks like any other Asian import, in my mind.

Paul

To me and just from appearances, the 818 may be aimed squarely at a younger crowd.

The SpecRacerFord is really a neat package. The engine and drivetrain are sealed (no mods), the chassis is complete, the replacement parts are very inexpensive. Just about the only adjustments you can make are the shocks and tire pressures. The 3 piece body comes off in a few minutes. Top speed is about 135.

Nice move Tim. Just make sure to paint it purple with white stripes.:)

The 818 street looks ok, but I agree with Paul, doesn't really grab me. The race version looks better, but still not outstanding. The performance is supposed to be very good though.
Road & Track (? I think it was) did a pretty nice article on it.

Tim, looks cool, I'd like to see it. Mark and I talked about them on the way home from Omer's Thursday. Sounds like a lot of fun.

At the Fenton show last year I was talking to a Mustang guy that was getting almost 1,000HP out of a 4-cylinder!
