• For all members (past, current, and new)

THANK YOU ALL FOR HELPING TO GET THIS CLUB OFF THE STARTING LINE !!!

To begin your membership with Gateway Cobra Club please submit your vital information to our club registrar/Treasurer: Paul Proefrock

    Please include your:

Name, address, phone numbers (work, home, cell) e-mail, etc. Also, tell us about your Cobra (make, model, year, colors, engine, options, stage of build, etc.), where you bought it, any other particulars. Also include other vehicles, birthdays, your occupation & company, and any other details about you and you significant others. BTW - this info will not be posted on-line (EVER). It's just for us - to make the club better. We will eventually create a database for internal club use only.

We will begin collecting dues soon to enable the activities that we have planned for the year - so stay tuned for that.

FINALLY - get involved. Attend the meetings, schedule some cruises, and have some fun. We want to make this club fun (for the whole family). We're small (for now) but we're going to make a big noise here in St. Louis. In the end - this club will only be as good as our members participation.

Thanks for joining us - see you in the fast lane!

Welcome Aboard Winners Circle 1 (Danny)

My chevy thingy might be little but it sure likes beating those BIGG FURDSSSS . Bow ties is a sign of the elite you should treat with respect.

Bring it Danny. These guys talk big when they're in the majority. :D BTW Hey Danny we need to work on a signature for you. It could say something like "If ya wanna get in the Winner's Circle, then get done here." :D OR "If ya wanna be in the Winner's Circle, then geterdone at Winners Circle." :D

well now i can tell you the reason i went with the cleveland ford motor - canted valve heads like a cheby plus i put a rear sump oil pan on it like a cheby ( to keep oil off the crankshaft ) also restricted oil at top of the motor like you have to do with a cheby but unlike the poor designed cheby head the intake and exhaust runners are spaced equally apart and no need for a cam button to keep the camshaft from walking. hmm some flaws in the cheby I wonder.

Well Mike sounds like you did alot of work to that Furd but you still can't catch those Chevy's. Maybe move that dist. to the rear and then we'll talk:D:D

I could put it low and in the front like some of those chebies did till they found out water was a enemy - remember them camshafts in the small block rounding off - now that 1 was not a engine flaw - lifters to soft - never saw the problem in 1 ton and above truck - hardened lifters - or the 79 - 80 crankshaft problem on small block - finish problem ha ha new technowledgy roll the finish on - and the mains over and undersizing stagered due to poor line bore - i was around them chebies alot, twisted wrenches back then for generous motors chebie and olds - then the age of the computor - generous motors had to seek help from none other then chrysler corp. their guru pete gladis. and the the good 1 thier high tech tune port system up untill about 6 months ago i thought it was a nice system, till i found out it was a dinasour batch firing the injectors. now come on they all have thier good and bad - but i got to see 1st hand how gm likes to go cheap till they have a problem - then out comes the band aids.

Hey Danny,

Don't let these Ford boys buffalo you. I have been a GM guy forever. Have a 69 Camaro BB sittin in my garage right next to the Cobra and they get along just fine. Looked at a couple of Cobras with bowtie hearts but it just didn't feel right so Ford it is! I also tow my Cobra around with a GM truck...as do many of our Cobra brethren. Down deep we are all just a bunch of go fast motor heads!! Can I get an Amen !?!?!?:D:D

Amen Bros. Amen! :D:D Danny is a swell guy & knows his stuff. You'll see Danny down at Gateway frequently on Wed. nights giving advice to the guys that do the drags. C&J Racing has a suite in the tower at gateway & Danny hangs there a lot too.

So, I'm searching the net for Danny's phone #, and found a few youtube videos out there. This is how he tests your engine after repair :D
