• For all members (past, current, and new)

THANK YOU ALL FOR HELPING TO GET THIS CLUB OFF THE STARTING LINE !!!

To begin your membership with Gateway Cobra Club please submit your vital information to our club registrar/Treasurer: Paul Proefrock

    Please include your:

Name, address, phone numbers (work, home, cell) e-mail, etc. Also, tell us about your Cobra (make, model, year, colors, engine, options, stage of build, etc.), where you bought it, any other particulars. Also include other vehicles, birthdays, your occupation & company, and any other details about you and you significant others. BTW - this info will not be posted on-line (EVER). It's just for us - to make the club better. We will eventually create a database for internal club use only.

We will begin collecting dues soon to enable the activities that we have planned for the year - so stay tuned for that.

FINALLY - get involved. Attend the meetings, schedule some cruises, and have some fun. We want to make this club fun (for the whole family). We're small (for now) but we're going to make a big noise here in St. Louis. In the end - this club will only be as good as our members participation.

Thanks for joining us - see you in the fast lane!

Welcome Aboard fiveliter8

Welcome aboard Alex! I hope Crystal and the babies are doing well and look forward to seeing you at a gathering soon.

Hey Tom please share with the rest of us something about Alex that you feel confident he
would not mind sharing.

He can drive from Hermann to O'Fallon in about 30 minutes! :D Come'on Alex, pics of cars are required around here.

I think Dave scared him off with that "competition" thing

Unless I miss my guess and all of a sudden you were in England, I think that last picture's negative was reversed. Either way, cool car! Thanks for the pics.

Not in England :D Skip took that in his rearview mirror looking back at Alex.

Something tells me.........................

that Alex is not scared of a little competition or anything else for that matter. BTW H/W U sure like to use that whuppin stick smilie on me a lot. Do U really love me that much? ;)

Heyyyyyyyy! Wow, this got to two pages worth of posts before I even got to say HOWDY! My humblest apologies for not responding sooner! As Tom mentioned, my name is Alex, and I'm a cobraholic. I have a wonderful 2 year old daughter and a son fresh out of the oven! The package also includes my wonderful wife, Crystal, who enjoys the cobra as much as I do (so she tells me!). They are definitely keeping us very busy, but I still manage to spend some quality time piloting my skunk-striped baby, which, by-the-way, has been nicknamed "LePew" by some of the GFFROGers.

LePew is a MK1 FFR (#2012K) with the only upgraded options being the 4 into 4 exhaust and chromed roll bar. Driveline is stock 5.0 drum rear end w/3:55's, stock WCT5, CF Dual Friction clutch, Engine is a '69 351W (donated from a ranchero GT), bal/blueprinted, 10.5:1, Trickflow heads, cobra rockers, 650 DP Holley, MSD 6AL, and a camera mount on the rollbar. :)

And the boring details:
My hobbies, when I get the time, repairing consumer electronics (tv's, cameras, stereos, etc.), radio control planes/boats/cars, restoring pinball machines and stand-up arcades, fox bodied mustangs (read "donor" by FFR folks), and all-things WW2 era warbirds. I'm also a budding shutter-bug.

My current inventory of toys:
1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbocoupe (fun and fuel efficient!)
1984 20th Anniversary GT350 mustang convertible (not authorized by Mr. Shelby)
1984 Mustang GT with T-Tops (this was my high school toy, just can't seem to get rid of it)

About the Hermann to O'fallon in 30 minutes thing...I was running late for work...really! :D

That pretty much sums it up for me. Thanks for the kind welcomes and hope to meet you all soon!

Yep, sure is! The way I remember it, she was hootin' and hollerin' with excitement, but she insists she was saying, "SLOW DOWN!". I've watched that vid over and over again and maybe my hearing isn't what it used to be before owning a cobra, but I'm pretty sure there was no "slow down" uttered. :D
Yes, that was TK and LK, and if I'm not mistaken, their motor wasn't as loud or powerful at the time (sans wicked blower).

IF I can make it, I will make sure and have the camera with me this time, heh heh. I now have a few spares, so hopefully I'll remember one! If nothing else, anyone is welcome to use the mount to do some filming.

Here are a few more vids from gatherings of long ago:

Would Love to Borrow.............

the camera mount. Love the additional videos. London has changed a lot w/the way they conduct the "rides" for safety reasons. Is MAR still open? BTW Can camera mounts be purchased fairly "reasonably?" & if so which one do U recommend? BTWII Will U B @ this yrs Runngun?

Sure! You can borrow it! I actually built mine from scratch. I don't know how much they cost, but there are suction cup type ones that you can pretty much mount anywhere to take some really cool shots. Unfortunately, MAR is now having homes built on it.

It will be hit or miss for RNG. If I do make it there, it will be as a spectator.
