Today was the local Antique Motorcycle Club’s first ride of the year. I was asked to take some pics to post on the forum.

The pickup is a Hudson and the blue Norton was what I rode. One of 4 British bikes participating. It was a beautiful day so hope you all got out to enjoy it!! 🌞

Nice. What do you know about the bright red hardtail with the springer front end?

That was the nicest of the ride! It's a 1939 Harley restored by it's owner. He owns/restored several vintage bikes to that same standard!! It was also the oldest of the ride...but had several other Harley and Indians from the 1940's.

Hard to believe but as a kid I owned an early 40's Harley like that. Hardtail, springer front end, 4sp hand shift and what was referred to as a suicide clutch. Sometimes while it sat idling, the clutch would snap over and engage. It was so heavy that I couldn't stand it back up if it fell over. The one vehicle that I truly should have kept, but what did I know as a 13-14yr old.

Cannot imagine you on a motorcycle 😳

Really???? I rode dirt bikes for years. Rode down around the lead mine dunes many times, when I was much younger. Never liked riding on highways, that scared me
