Vacation idea

Wanting to see if anyone has ever done this and what you think it might be worth. Been checking on renting a houseboat (p/u Monday, dropoff Friday) at Table Rock or Bull Shoals Lake. We will of course stay on the house boat each night, eat there and such. I'll take my boat and tie up to the house boat for getting around the lake and fishing. Would also rent jet ski's for a day or two and go to Silver Dollar City and maybe Branson. Anyone ever done something like this? Without looking at prices, how much would you expect to pay for doing something like this? Anyone interested in going with us (Me, Linda, Brad & Girlfriend & Matt).

Thought about Kentucky Lake too, but don't know what else there is to do around the lake.

Never done it but it looks like Mon-Fri rental would be $2,950 + tax & gas here http://tablerockhouseboatrentals.com/ . For that kind of dough we'll take a plane to the west coast, rent a convertible and run US1 from top to bottom.

Yeah, I checked there, and they are the only one's on the lake with boats put in service in March. In trying to find something to entertain everyone in the family, I thought:

- Sun - for Linda, she likes to layout and boat
- Water ski's for the kids
- Silver Dollar City for everyone
- Fishing for me
- Reconnecting with the family....everyone

One of these years when Linda and I can take a vacation alone, drive's up/down the coast, visiting wine country, and up to the Black Hills of N.D will be the norm. My thought this year was to try and do something in the states to create inflation at home instead of in another country.

Anyone been to Bull Shoals lately? Gary?
