This post applies to vBulletin, See new post for latest forum software
You can now add you Tube Clips to your post!
Here is a simple How-To to get you started:
First, go to YouTube and find the video that you want to include in a post.
If you look in the Address bar of your browser...you will see the link for your video.
The coded number after the watch is v= is the library file number of the video you are currently viewing.
Just highlight all after the v=, by click-and-dragging across the number.
Now, point to the highlighted area and right-click, then choose Copy.
You have now "grabbed" the video file name.
Next, go start the post where you want to share the video.
At the point in the post where you want the video panel to appear, set up a set of youtube tags.
To do this click on the <> button.
This creates a set of TAGS.
Replace the text inside of the first parenthesis with youtube
Replace the text inside the second paraenthesis with /youtube
Last...point your cursor right in between the tags and right-click, then choose Paste
NOTE - if the clips on Youtube has embed clip disabled (as Scott's clips of my drag race with Tim are) - this won't work.
Now Submit the post and ...bingo...imbedded video.
This is what the finished "code" will look like in your post. You can check it using the "preview post" button to make sure you've done it correctly
Here's what it looks like.
