Tires mounted and balanced

Need to get some new rubber on my cobra, probably thru Tire Rack but not ordered yet.

1) anyone familiar with Solo Performance Specialties in Valley Park? Looks like they cater to the AutoCross people

2) Other suggestions. Not real wild about the chain stores (Plaza, Dobbs, Firestone, NTW, etc)​

I ordered my tires and had them mounted and speed balanced at Pro-Performance (sp?) in St. Charles. I was happy with the service and they identified my out-of-round wheel condition that I belive was an issue since I received the wheels, but prior installers didn't catch.

Maybe John Z has a suggestion as well.

I agree with Mark on contacting John. I don't really have a go to guy anymore on a lot of things. I also agree with your comment about the chain stores, but it's hard to find someone that will give good service anymore at a reasonable price.

Met with Dave Whitworth at Solo Performance. Pretty good size speed shop, catering to the AutoCross and track people. Lots of helmets, gloves, things you would need to AutoX. Pretty good ratings with Hunter (He has all Hunter alignment and Balancing equipment. Says their specialty is Suspension and Alignment. Don't do any tuning or other mechanical work. Located on Tree Court in Vallley Park.

Think this is where I'll go. I like what I see

I've also been to Solo Performance a couple times, that's where Keith & I bought our seats from.
Yes, Dave is a great source of knowledge and parts, didn't realize he had a shop too! Good to know! (Also very competitive prices *he beat everyone's price on the seats and I didn't even ask him)
